Suze Redmayne
Susan Emma Dossor Redmayne (née Dossor; born ) is a New Zealand politician and Member of Parliament for representing the National Party. Early life and career Born in , Redmayne received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Otago. She and her husband Richard have run Tunnel Hill farm in Turakina since 1993, through which they operate their lamb brands Coastal Lamb and Coastal Spring Lamb. Both the farm and the brands have won awards. Redmayne is or has been a trustee for two local foundations, the Whanganui Community Foundation and Sport Whanganui. Political career Redmayne worked in the electorate offices of Simon Power and Ian McKelvie for over 20 years, which she said gave her a good understanding of the electorate and of the political world. She has referred to McKelvie as her mentor. On 5 November 2022, Redmayne was announced as National's candidate for Rangitīkei at the 2023 general election. Ian McKelvie
Ian Robert Flockhart McKelvie (born 1952) is a New Zealand politician and a member of the New Zealand House of Representatives. He is a member of the National Party. Early life and career McKelvie was born to parents John and Rosemary in Palmerston North. His family has lived near the Rangitīkei river since 1850. He was educated at Wanganui Collegiate School. He then gained a Diploma of Agriculture from Massey University and worked on several farms, including a sheep, beef, dairy and cropping farm at Tangimoana with one of his brothers. He has also worked in the motor vehicle, property and insurance industries, including with Farmers’ Mutual Group, and served as national president of the Royal Agricultural Society for four years until 2002. He was the Mayor of Manawatu from 2002 until 2011. Rangitīkei (New Zealand Electorate)
Rangitīkei (before 2008 spelled Rangitikei without a macron) is a New Zealand parliamentary electorate, returning one Member of Parliament to the New Zealand House of Representatives. The current MP for Rangitīkei is Ian McKelvie of the National Party. He has held this position since 2011. The electorate has existed continuously since the 1861 general election. Profile Rangitīkei is the third largest general electorate by area in the North Island. It encircles, but does not include, Palmerston North. Christopher Mark Luxon (born 19 July 1970) is a New Zealand politician and former business executive who is currently serving as leader of the New Zealand National Party and the Leader of the Opposition. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Botany electorate since the 2020 general election. He was the chief executive officer of Air New Zealand from 2012 to 2019.
