Suzanne Horner
Suzanne Horner (née Burgess, born 23 February 1963 in Wakefield) is an English former professional squash player. Squash career Horner was runner-up at the British Open in 1990 and 1993. In 1994, she captured the US Open title and reached a career-high ranking of World No. 2. She won the British National Squash Championships in 1994 and 1996. She was a silver commonwealth medallist in Kuala Lumpur in 1998, when she competed with Simon Parke in the doubles competition. She won the World Over-35 Championship in 1999. Her greatest successes were being part of the successful England team that won the 1989 Women's World Team Squash Championships in Warmond, Netherlands and the 1990 Women's World Team Squash Championships in Sydney, Australia. British National Squash Championships
The British National Squash Championships are the national squash championships for players from the United Kingdom & Ireland. They are held annually in early February, currently in Nottingham. The Championships were inaugurated in 1974 are not to be confused with the British Open Squash Championships which is open to all nationalities and is the oldest squash tournament. The championships also involve masters events for British squash players in different age groups. The Official Women's Squash World Ranking is the official world ranking for women's squash. The ranking is to rate the performance level of female professional squash player. It is also a merit-based method used for determining entry and seeding in women's squash tournaments. The rankings are produced monthly. The current world number one is Nouran Gohar of Egypt, who replaced Raneem El Welily in July 2020. The WISPA, the WSA and the PSA has used a computerized system for determining the rankings since April 1984. PSA ranking policy Players competing in PSA tournaments earn ranking points according to how far they get in the draw. The points available depend on the prize money and the draw size. The monthly rankings (issued on the 1st of the month) are used in selecting entries to tournaments and in determining the seeds. St. Peter Port (french: Saint-Pierre Port) is a town and one of the ten parishes on the island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands.
