Suwardi (physicist)
Suwardi (4 February 192522 July 1998) was an Indonesian physicist and professor of physics at the University of Indonesia. He had served as the Secretary of the National Atomic Energy Agency and was dean at several universities in Indonesia. Early life and education Suwardi was born on 4 February 1925 in Blitar. He studied physics at the University of Indonesia in Bandung before moving to study at the Delft Institute of Technology, where he received his degree in 1956. Upon receiving his degree, he underwent further studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He returned to Indonesia and began to teach at the engineering faculty of the University of Indonesia in Bandung for a year. He then moved to the Gadjah Mada University and taught until 1964 at the university's faculty of exact sciences and natural sciences. The Open Learning Institute of British Columbia (OLI) was a single mode, distance education post-secondary provincial institute in Canada, created in 1978 by the Government of British Columbia. Dry Transfer
Dry transfers (also called rub-ons or rubdowns) are decals that can be applied without the use of water or other solvent. The decal itself is on a backing material such as paper or plastic sheeting much like a transparency. The dry transfer is placed in the desired location with the backing side up. The decal is then applied by burnishing the backing with a stylus or similar object such as a ballpoint pen. The contact side of the decal includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive; the combination of heat and pressure causes the decal to stick more strongly to the new surface than to the backing. When the backing is removed, the decal remains. This allows for ink only where needed even if the pattern is delicate, because the backing supports the decal while it is being applied. Patimah Moerwani (30 December 192722 July 2021) was an Indonesian chemist and academic administrator from the University of Indonesia who became the dean of the university's faculty of exact sciences and natural sciences from 1974 to 1978 and dean of the faculty of math and natural sciences of the Indonesia Open University.
