Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana
Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana ( th, สุวพันธุ์ ตันยุวรรธนะ; born 23 December 1953 in Ratchaburi) is a Thai officer and politician. He is a former director of the National Intelligence Agency from 2009 until 2014. Early life Suwaphan was born on 23 December 1953 in Ratchaburi Province. Suwaphan attended high school at Daruna Ratchaburi School and Triam Udom Suksa School and then study at Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University. Early career Suwaphan took government service under the National Intelligence Agency previously served as Deputy Director and was the director of the National Intelligence Agency in 2009. He also served as a committee in the Emergency Situation Center during the government of Abhisit Vejjajiva and continued to work in the government, Yingluck Shinawatra and the government of General Prayut Chan-o-cha until his retirement on 30 September 2014. __NOTOC__ The Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant ( th, เครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์อันเป็นที่เชิดชูยิ่งช้างเผือก; ) is an order of Thailand. It was established in 1861 by King Rama IV of the Kingdom of Siam. The Senate of Thailand ( th, วุฒิสภา, , ; formerly known as Phruetthasapha ( th, พฤฒสภา, , ) is the upper house of the National Assembly of Thailand, Thailand's legislative branch. In accordance with the 2017 Constitution of Thailand, the Senate is a non-partisan legislative chamber, composed of 250 members. All 250 Senators are appointed by the Royal Thai Military. Senators serve five year terms in office. Both the Senate and the House of Representatives were abolished as a result of the 2014 Thai coup d'état. These were replaced with the unicameral National Legislative Assembly, a body of 250 members, selected by the National Council for Peace and Order.
