Reach plc publishes many newspapers, magazines and news websites. This list of Reach plc titles is a non-exhaustive list of these. Before 2018, Reach plc was known as Trinity Mirror plc. The list includes titles owned by the Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), and those owned by both M.E.N Media and S&B Media, after both companies were purchased by Trinity Mirror as GMG Regional Media from the Guardian Media Group in 2010. Reach Plc
Reach plc (known as Trinity Mirror between 1999 and 2018) is a British newspaper, magazine and digital publisher. It is one of the UK's biggest newspaper groups, publishing 240 regional papers in addition to the national ''Daily Mirror'', '' Sunday Mirror'', ''The Sunday People'', ''Daily Express'', '' Sunday Express'', '' Daily Star'', '' Daily Star Sunday'' as well as the Scottish '' Daily Record'' and '' Sunday Mail'' and the magazine '' OK!'' Since purchasing Local World, it has gained 83 print publications. Reach plc's headquarters are at the One Canada Square in London. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange. History The ''Daily Mirror'' was launched by Alfred Harmsworth, 1st Viscount Northcliffe, "for gentlewomen" in 1903. The company was first listed on the London Stock Exchange on 2 December 1953. Derby Telegraph
The ''Derby Telegraph'', formerly the ''Derby Evening Telegraph'', is a daily tabloid newspaper distributed in the Derby area of England. Stories produced by the ''Derby Telegraph'' team are published online under the Derbyshire Live brand. History In 1857, Richard Keene was publishing the ''Derby Telegraph'' every Saturday. His business was in the Irongate district of Derby. His family was to include Alfred John Keene who was a local painter whose work is displayed in the Derby Art Gallery. Another paper was first published in 1879 by Eliza Pike. It was known at the time as the ''Derby Daily Telegraph'' and was a four-page broadsheet which cost a halfpenny. Historical copies of the ''Derby Daily Telegraph'', dating back to 1879, are available to search and view in digitised form at The British Newspaper Archive. The first editor was W.J. ''Chronicle Extra'' (formerly known as ''The Herald and Post'') is a free newspaper delivered weekly to residents in the Tyne and Wear and Northumberland area. The paper includes general news and information about that area within the last week; it also covers sports . It includes advertisements. Employees ''The Herald and Post'' employs people to deliver the papers; anyone over thirteen is allowed to join the waiting list in the hope of getting a paper round to earn money. Canary Wharf is a financial area of London, England, located in the Isle of Dogs in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The Greater London Authority defines it as part of London's central business district, alongside Central London. The Wharf (newspaper)
''The Wharf'' was a free local newspaper produced at the Canary Wharf financial estate in London. It was set up in 1998, as such covering the transformation of the Isle of Dogs as it became an important financial centre. ''The Wharf'' was based in One Canada Square, a sister paper to the ''Daily Mirror'', the ''Sunday Mirror'' and ''The People'', all part of the Mirror Group Newspapers, itself part of Trinity Mirror now Reach PLC. A free publication, ''The Wharf'' was published weekly and aimed to provide news and entertainment to the tens of thousands of people who work on the Canary Wharf estate. Hendon
Hendon is an urban area in the London Borough of Barnet, northwest London northwest of Charing Cross. Hendon was an ancient Manorialism, manor and parish in the county of Middlesex and a former borough, the Municipal Borough of Hendon; it has been part of Greater London since 1965. Hendon falls almost entirely within the NW4 postcode, while the West Hendon part falls in NW9. Colindale to the northwest was once considered part of Hendon but is today separated by the M1 motorway. The district is most famous for the London Aerodrome which later became the RAF Hendon; from 1972 the site of the RAF station was gradually handed over to housing development and to the Royal Air Force Museum London, RAF Museum. Chipping Barnet
Chipping Barnet or High Barnet is a suburban market town in north London, forming part of the London Borough of Barnet, England. It is a suburban development built around a 12th-century settlement, and is located north-northwest of Charing Cross, east from Borehamwood, west from Enfield Town, Enfield and south from Potters Bar. Its population, including its localities East Barnet, New Barnet, Hadley Wood, Monken Hadley, Cockfosters and Arkley, was 47,359 in 2011. Romford
Romford is a large List of places in London, town in east London, east London, England, located northeast of Charing Cross. Part of the London Borough of Havering, the town is one of the major Metropolitan centres of London, metropolitan centres of Greater London identified in the London Plan. Historically part of the ancient parish of Hornchurch in the Becontree Hundred, Becontree hundred of Essex, Romford has been a market town since 1247. The ''Tameside Advertiser'' is a weekly newspaper which serves the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside, Greater Manchester, England. It is owned by Trinity Mirror plc. The paper has a sister paper, The Glossop Advertiser which is also a freesheet but covers the bordering town of Glossop in Derbyshire. The main competitors to both papers are the Tameside Reporter and Glossop Chronicle which are both paid-for newspapers. The newspaper recently featured in the 'Rotten Boroughs' section of ''Private Eye'' magazine after the Department for Communities and Local Government produced the whitepaper 'Guidance for local authorities on community cohesion contingency planning and tension monitoring'. The ''Glossop Advertiser'' is a weekly newspaper which serves the town of Glossop, Derbyshire, England. It is owned by Trinity Mirror plc. The paper's sister paper, The Tameside Advertiser which is also a freesheet but covers the neighbouring Metropolitan Borough of Tameside in Greater Manchester. The main competitors to both papers are the Tameside Reporter and Glossop Chronicle which are both paid-for newspapers. The Glossop Advertiser is essentially a localised version of the Tameside Advertiser with some news stories specific to the area, but much of the content is generalised between the two newspapers. The ''Retford Times'' is a weekly local newspaper founded in 1869. It is distributed in and around the area of the North Nottinghamshire market town of Retford. The newspaper contains local news and views from resident people as well as a property section for Retford and the surrounding villages. The ''Nottingham Post'' (formerly the ''Nottingham Evening Post'') is an English tabloid newspaper which serves Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. The ''Post'' is published Monday to Saturday each week, and was also available via online subscription until 10 March 2020. In the first six months of 2024, the paper had a daily circulation of 3,487, down 23.7% on the same period in 2023.
