Susie Hargreaves is a British executive who works in the charity sector. She is Chief Executive officer of the Internet Watch Foundation. Early life Susan Elizabeth Nuttgens was born in 1962 in Yorkshire to Patrick John Nuttgens, architecture lecturer, and Bridget Badenoch. Her grandfather was stained-glass artist Joseph Edward Nuttgens. Her siblings include Giles Nuttgens, cinematographer, Sandy Nuttgens, composer, and Peg Alexander, broadcaster. Her first marriage, to D N Hargreaves, was in 1983. Hargreaves was raised in Yorkshire, in a family of nine. Career Hargreaves has held a number of executive positions in the arts, including general manager of Red Ladder Theatre Company, deputy director of Watermans Arts Centre, and CEO of Audiences Yorkshire. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding valuable service in a wide range of useful activities. Internet Watch Foundation
The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) is a registered charity based in Cambridge, England. It states that its remit is "to minimise the availability of online sexual abuse content, specifically child sexual abuse images and videos hosted anywhere in the world and non-photographic child sexual abuse images hosted in the UK." Content inciting racial hatred was removed from the IWF's remit after a police website was set up for the purpose in April 2011. The IWF used to also take reports of criminally obscene adult content hosted in the UK. This was removed from the IWF's remit in 2017. As part of its function, the IWF says that it will "supply partners with an accurate and current URL list to enable blocking of child sexual abuse content". Watermans Art Centre is a combined arts centre. It is located in Brentford, England alongside the banks of the River Thames overlooking Kew Gardens in West London, England. It includes a 239-seat theatre, a 125-seat movie theatre, cinema two galleries and two studio spaces. On 20 March 2024 it was announced that the current centre would close on 11 April 2024, with no immediate replacement.
