Sushasaner Jonno Nagorik
Shushashoner Jonno Nagorik (translation: Citizens for Good Governance) (SHUJAN) is an organization in Bangladesh. The word SHUJAN, is a Bengali word. It came from an sentence "''Shushanar Janniya Nagorik – SHUJAN''". The headquarter of this organization located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. History SHUJAN was founded in 2002. Badiul Alam Majumdar is the founding secretary of Shujan. In October 2022, Shujan said that it would be not possible for a political government in Bangladesh to hold a fair election using the by-elections from Gaibandha-5 as an example. Badiul Alam Majumdar denied allegations by the chief election commission, KM Nurul Huda, that he criticised the Election Commission after failing to get a job from the commission. Hameeda Hossain (; born 1936) is a Bangladeshi human rights activist and academic. She has published many books and articles relating to human rights and women's issues in Bangladesh, in Islam, and worldwide. She is a founding member of Ain o Salish Kendra, a legal aid and human rights organization. In 1969, in the then East Pakistan, along with economist Rehman Sobhan she founded English-language monthly current affairs magazine, Forum. Ali Imam Majumder is an advisor to the Interim government of Bangladesh. He is a former Bangladeshi government official who served as the cabinet secretary. He is the secretary general of Transparency International Bangladesh and an executive committee member of Citizens for Good Governance (SHUJAN). Badiul Alam Majumdar (born February 1946) is a Bangladeshi economist, activist and election expert. He is the vice president and country director of the US-based charity The Hunger Project. He is the founder-secretary of a civil society organization named Citizens for Good Governance (SHUJAN).
