Susann Beucke
Susann Beucke (born 11 June 1991) is a German sailor who competes offshore races of the Figaro Bénéteau 3 and IMOCA 60 classes. Before focusing on offshore sailing she competed in Olympic sailing, primarily in the 49er FX class, winning the silver medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo along with Tina Lutz, representing Germany. Olympic sailing (2009 - 2021 ) In her early career she raced in the 49er FX, 470 and 29er classes. Focusing on the 49er FX category, along with Tina Lutz, she won a gold medal at the 2017 and 2020 49er & 49er FX European Championships. In their third attempt Beucke and Lutz qualified to represent Germany at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where they won a Silver medal, the best result for German sailing in 21 years. Kiel
Kiel () is the capital and most populous city in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein, with a population of 246,243 (2021). Kiel lies approximately north of Hamburg. The Solitaire du Figaro, previously called the Course de l'Aurore, is a solo multi-stage sailing race created in 1970 by Jean-Louis Guillemard and . The unique character of the race, the presence of great solo sailors and its being open to amateurs, has made it one of the most cherished races in French sailing. History From 1970 to 1979 the race was organised by the newspaper ''L'Aurore''. In 1980 the daily newspaper ''Le Figaro'' bought out ''L'Aurore'' and became the principal sponsor of the event. Kevin Escoffier is a French professional sailor born on 4 April 1980 in Saint-Malo, France and a resident of Lorient. He is an offshore sailor who has won the 2018 Volvo Ocean Race as a bowman onboard DongFen. and competed in the 2020–2021 Vendée Globe aboard PRB. He is a member of the following yacht club - SN Baie St. Malo Biography He studied Engineering for 3 years at EPF in Paris, 2 years at the École Polytechnique de Montréal and 8 months at the University of Maryland and now specializes in composite engineering. One of his first projects was being involved in the development of Multi 50 class "Crêpes Whaou! 2", which was built for his father Franck-Yves Escoffier, also an offshore sailor.
