Susan Stuebner
Susan D. Stuebner is an American academic administrator who served as the ninth president of Colby–Sawyer College from 2016 to 2024. She was named the 21st President of Marietta College, but resigned before reporting to campus. Life Stuebner is from Deephaven, Minnesota. She earned an A.B. in psychology at Dartmouth College. She completed an Ed.M. in administration, planning, and social policy and an Ed.D. in higher education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Stuebner researches leadership, decision-making, and the sustainability of private liberal arts colleges. At Albright College, Stuebner was an assistant women's basketball coach, admissions counselor, and special assistant to the academic dean. She worked as a freshman proctor and director of freshman intramurals at Harvard College and was a teaching fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Colby–Sawyer College is a private college in New London, New Hampshire, United States. It was founded as a coeducational academy in 1837 and sits on a campus. History New London Academy A legislative charter was granted by the State of New Hampshire in 1837 to eleven New London citizens for the purpose of establishing a school, the New London Academy, in the town. The eleven men who were named as the academy's incorporators were Joseph Colby, Anthony Colby, Perley Burpee, Jonathan Greeley, John Brown, Jonathan Herrick, David Everett, Samuel Carr, Walter Flanders, Jonathan Addison and Marshall Trayne.
