Susan De Klein
Susan de Klein (29 May 1973 – 7 November 2019) was a Dutch dressage rider who competed for the Netherlands Antilles until 2012. Ewijk
Ewijk is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Beuningen, and lies about 9 km west of Nijmegen. The river Waal runs in the north. Ewijk was a separate municipality until 1980, when it was merged with Beuningen. History It was first mentioned in 855 as Euuic, and means "neighbourhood near water". Doddendaal is a castle near Ewijk. Part of the wall with corner towers date from the 14th century. The main building was damaged by fire in 1590, and was repaired in the early-17th century. Between 1973 and 1976, it was restored and has become a restaurant. In 1840, it was home to 680 people. The A50 and A73 motorway meet at Ewijk, and in the late 20th century, the town was mainly known for its daily traffic jams. In 2011, the Tacitusbrug over the Waal was widened from 2x2 to 2x4 lanes. 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games
The 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games were held in Aachen, Germany from August 20 to September 3, 2006. They were the 5th edition of the games which are held every four years and run by the FEI. It was held in the Soers, a district of Aachen. The main stadium of this event was the Hauptstadion. Host selection On September 18, 2002 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, the FEI awarded the 2006 Games to Aachen. The only other host city applicant was Lexington, Kentucky, United States (which was later awarded the following edition of the Games in 2010). Events 16 events in 7 disciplines were held in Aachen. 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games
The 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games (officially the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games) were held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, U.S. from September 25 to October 10, 2010. This was the sixth edition of the games, which are held every four years and run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). For the first time, Para-equestrian events were added in the program. This was also the first time the games were hosted by a city outside of Europe, and also the first time that all events at the games were held at a single site. (Although the 100-mile/161-km endurance course, by necessity, was mostly contained outside the park, the main veterinary gate was located within the park.)
