The surdo is a large bass drum used in many kinds of Brazilian music, such as Axé/ Samba-reggae and samba, where it plays the lower parts from a percussion section. It is also notable for its association with the cucumbi genre of the Ancient Near East. Surdo sizes normally vary between and diameter, with some as large as . Romeo Constantin Surdu (born 12 January 1984) is a Romanian footballer and manager. Club career Born in Brașov, Surdu began his football career at FC Brașov. During the summer of 2005 he was traded to CFR Cluj. Steaua On 22 August 2007, he signed a four-year contract with Steaua București. On 2 September 2007 played his first match in Steaua's shirt against Unirea Urziceni. Victor Surdu
Raul-Victor Surdu-Soreanu (July 11, 1947 – April 7, 2011) was a Romanian politician who served as the country's first post-Communist Minister of Agriculture following the 1989 Revolution. He was a member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD). Surdu was born in Iaşi. He worked as a manager for Romania's collective farm system during the Communist era, and then joined the National Salvation Front (FSN), which took power after the overthrow of Nicolae Ceaușescu. Surdu served as Minister of Agriculture from 1989 to 1990. He was a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Democratic Agrarian Party of Romania (PDAR) from 1990 to 1992, and for the Social Democratic Party (PSD) from 2008 until his death.2008- profile

Cibin (german: Zibin; hu, Szeben) is a river in central Romania, in the south part of Transylvania. Its source is close to the highest peak in the Cindrel Mountains (known also as Cibin Mountains) of the Southern Carpathian Mountains.
