Supreme Court Of Lithuania
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Lithuania ( lt, Lietuvos Respublikos Aukščiausiasis Teismas) is the only court of cassation in the Republic of Lithuania for reviewing effective judgements and rulings passed by the courts hearing criminal cases at the first and appeal instances as well as decisions and rulings in civil cases passed by the courts of appeal instance. The Supreme Court was established by the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania of 1992. It began the activities in 1994 when the Law establishing the Court came into force. Since its inception, the Court has been located in the city of Vilnius, Gynėjų street. In 1990 he was among those who signed the Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania.
