Supreme (character)
Supreme is a superhero created by Rob Liefeld and published by Image Comics (1992–96 and 2012–15), followed by Maximum Press (1996–98), Awesome Entertainment (1999–2000), and Arcade Comics (2006). Although Supreme was originally conceived as a violent egotistical antihero and Superman archetype, he was retooled by Alan Moore as a tribute to Mort Weisinger's Silver Age of Comic Books, Silver Age Superman. The character had a 56-issue comic book series, a six-issue miniseries, and a revival in 2012 consisting of six issues. Beginning with issue #41, Moore's run was collected in two Trade paperback (comics), trade paperbacks from the Checker Book Publishing Group, ''Supreme: The Story of the Year'' and ''Supreme: The Return''. Moore's work on the series earned him an Eisner Award for Best Writer in 1997. ''Supreme'' is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations and directed by Anil Ravipudi. It stars Sai Durgha Tej and Raashi Khanna in the lead roles. The music was composed by Sai Karthik, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Sai Sriram and M. R. Varma. Originally, Su-Preme was the primary producer of Sunz of Man. He produced their demo album (when the group was called Da Last Future) while still forming and taking shape as the first to be signed Wutang affiliates. Chrysalis Records released the song as the third single from the album on 11 December 2000. Supreme is an American clothing brand established in New York City in April 1994. The company focuses on streetwear, skateboarding, and hip hop fashion trends. In December 2020, the U.S.-based apparel and footwear company VF Corporation bought Supreme for $2.1 billion. In 2024, the brand was sold to EssilorLuxottica for $1.5 billion. History The brand was founded in 1994 by American-British businessman and fashion designer James Jebbia. During the formation of the brand, Jebbia was inspired by a book on Barbara Kruger's artwork, which influenced the design of Supreme's red box logo with white Futura Heavy Oblique font. The brand later released unlicensed remixes, which featured the works of artists and brands such as Jackson Pollock and Coca-Cola.
