''Survivor Spain'' (In Spanish: ''Supervivientes'') is the Spanish version of the popular reality series ''Survivor''. This version of the show has aired on Spanish broadcast channels Telecinco, from 2000 to 2001 and 2006 to the present, Antena 3, from 2003 to 2005, and on laSiete from 2009 to 2014. Throughout its time on air in Spain, ''Survivor'' has gone by many names. From 2000 to 2001 it was known as ''Supervivientes: Expedicion Robinson'', a show that closely followed the American version of the program. From 2003 to 2004 it was known as ''La isla de los FamoS.O.S'', which, unlike its previous incarnation, resembled more of a '' Big Brother'' format and included celebrities as contestants (this format would be carried over to all future versions of the show). In 2005, it was known as ''Aventura en África'' and since 2006 it has been called ''Supervivientes: Perdidos en Honduras'' or, simply, ''Supervivientes''. Charlie Parsons
Charles Andrew Parsons is a British television producer known as the creator of the ''Survivor'' franchise. He also created ''The Big Breakfast'' and '' The Word''. Education Parsons was educated at Tonbridge School, a boarding independent school in Tonbridge in Kent in South East England, and credits the tough boarding school regime he endured there in the early 1970s, which at the time was commonplace, as providing an inspiration for his creation of the series ''Survivor''. He then went to Pembroke College at the University of Oxford, where he studied English literature and afterwards trained as a journalist. Life and career The early days of Parsons's career saw him working at London Weekend Television on programmes including Network 7, which won a BAFTA award for originality. Telecinco
Telecinco is a Spanish free-to-air television channel operated by Mediaset España. The channel was previously known as Tele 5, because it had first begun its experimental transmissions on 10 March 1989, and a year later, it was officially launched on 3 March, 1990, becoming the fifth of the national terrestrial television channels and the second private channel in Spain. In 1997, Tele 5 was rebranded as Telecinco, dropping the biscione-absent flower logo seen in other Mediaset channel logos.
