The third season of ''Superstar (Brazilian TV series), SuperStar'', premiered live on Rede Globo on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. (BRT/AMT) during the 2016–17 Brazilian television season. The winning band is entitled to a R$500,000 prize, and a recording contract with Som Livre. Host and experts Hosts Fernanda Lima returned as the host, and Rafa Brites as backstage interviewer. Daniela Mercury
Daniela Mercury (born Daniela Mercuri de Almeida on July 28, 1965) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, dancer, and producer. In her solo career, Mercury has sold over 11 million records worldwide, and had 24 Top 10 singles in the country, with 14 of them reached No. 1. Caetano Emanuel Viana Teles Veloso (; born 7 August 1942) is a Brazilian composer, singer, guitarist, writer, and political activist. Mayra Corrêa Aygadoux (born 4 December 1986), known professionally as Maria Gadú, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist. Gadú has been nominated twice for a Latin Grammy Award. Ultraje a Rigor is a Brazilian rock band, which formed in 1980 and experienced great success along with other famous Brazilian rock bands from that time, like Titãs, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Legião Urbana, and many others, mostly during the 1980s. Olodum
Olodum is a ''bloco-afro'' from Salvador's carnival, in Bahia, Brazil. It was founded by the percussionist Neguinho do Samba. The musical group's album ''Pela Vida'' (meaning "For Life" in Portuguese) was nominated for Best Brazilian Roots/Regional Album at the 4th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2003. Luiz Gonzaga do Nascimento (standard orthography 'Luís'; ; December 13, 1912 – August 2, 1989) was a Brazilian singer, songwriter, musician and poet and one of the most influential figures of Brazilian popular music in the twentieth century. Cristiano de Melo Araújo (January 24, 1986 – June 24, 2015) was a Brazilian singer-songwriter.
