Supernaut (Serbian Band)
Supernaut ( sr-Cyrl, Супернаут) is a Serbian alternative rock band from Belgrade. History 1990s Having performed as DDT, formed in 1989 by former Šarlo Akrobata member Ivan Vdović "VD" (drums, rhythm machine), with Srđan Marković "Đile" (vocals) and Miodrag Stojanović "Čeza" (rhythm machine), the band changed the name to Supernaut, after Vdović's death in 1992. Influenced by the band Suicide, the rest of the band continued working in the same musical direction as on their previous efforts with DDT, explained by the band members as the "social art and its reflections on theatre, painting, film, and rock music". At the time, the band became a support for the Sonja Savić alternative theatre troupe, performing at various alternative theater festivals. Suncokret
Suncokret ( sr-cyr, Сунцокрет; trans. ''Sunflower'') was a Yugoslav acoustic rock band from Belgrade. Band history 1975 — 1980 The band was formed in 1975 by former Zajedno member Bora Đorđević (vocals and acoustic guitar), a former U Cvetu Mladosti member Nenad Božić (vocals and acoustic guitar) and female singers Snežana Jandrlić and Vesna Rakočević. After release of the single "Kara Mustafa", Vesna Rakočević left the band and joined Zdravo, and Bilja Krstić and Gorica Popović became new Suncokret members. At the half of 1976, they were joined by bass guitarist Bata Sokić. The band released several successful singles, some of them inspired by traditional songs. ''Budućnost sada'' (''The Future Now'') is the debut album by the Serbian alternative rock band Supernaut, released by Zvono Records in 1993. The cover for the album, available only on compact cassette, was designed by Srđan Marković "Đile". After the album release, the band got the epithet An epithet (, ), also a byname, is a descriptive term (word or phrase) commonly accompanying or occurring in place of the name of a real or fictitious person, place, or thing. It is usually literally descriptive, as in Alfred the Great, Suleima ... "the most non-commercial band in Belgrade". Sonja Savić
Sonja Savić ( sr-Cyrl, Соња Савић; 15 September 1961 – 23 September 2008) was a Serbian actress, famous for her husky voice and series of impressive roles in some of the most memorable Yugoslav films of 1980s and 1990s. She was born in Čačak, Serbia and attended the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. In her later years she became an outspoken critic of the direction the country was taking, in terms of cultural and political values. Suicide (band)
Suicide was an American musical duo composed of vocalist Alan Vega and instrumentalist Martin Rev, intermittently active between 1970 and 2016. The group's pioneering music used minimalist electronic instrumentation, including synthesizers and primitive drum machines, and their early performances were confrontational and often ended in violence. Srđan ( sr-Cyrl, Срђан); ; ; ) is a Serbo-Croatian masculine given name, usually written as Srdjan when the letter đ is unavailable. It is usually considered to be a form of the name Sergius, honoring the Christian martyr and saint Sergius.
