Alien Crime Syndicate
Alien Crime Syndicate, often abbreviated to ACS, were a rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1997. From 1999 to the band's breakup in 2005, the lineup consisted primarily of Joe Reineke (vocals, guitar), Jeff Rouse (bass, backing vocals), Nabil Ayers (drums), while guitarists Jason Krevey, Mike Squires and Mike Davis were also members of the band. Following the breakup of previous band The Meices, Joe Reineke formed Alien Crime Syndicate with Jeff Rouse in San Francisco, before they relocated to Los Angeles following a deal with Revolution Records. After recording their debut album, the label folded, with the band relocating to Seattle, adding Nabil Ayers, formerly of The Lemons, and Jason Krevey to the lineup. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Jeff Rouse (musician)
Jeff Rouse is an American musician who is best known as the bassist for the rock bands Alien Crime Syndicate and Duff McKagan's Loaded. In September 2014, it was announced Rouse was the newest member of Fozzy. Previously, Rouse was a member of a number of Seattle-based groups such as Vendetta Red and Sirens Sister while he also has his own solo project titled To the Glorious Lonely. Rouse was also a member of the live band, along with his Alien Crime Syndicate bandmates, of Tommy Stinson (Guns N' Roses, formerly The Replacements), who, at the time, was touring in support of his solo album ''Village Gorilla Head''. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Nabil Ayers is an American music industry entrepreneur, author and musician. Ayers' debut memoir, ''My Life in the Sunshine,'' was published by Viking Press on June 7, 2022. The book focuses on Ayers' relationship with his father, the jazz musician Roy Ayers, growing up as a mixed-race person in America, and Ayers' life in the music industry.
