Super Sons
The Super-Sons are a pair of fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The characters were created by Bob Haney and Dick Dillin and first appeared in ''World's Finest Comics'' #215 (January 1973). The characters were featured in stories about the sons of Superman and Batman. In 2017, DC Comics launched a ''Super Sons'' monthly comic book series featuring new versions of the characters, going by the names Superboy ( Jonathan Kent, the son of Superman and Lois Lane), and Robin (Damian Wayne, the son of Batman and Talia al Ghul). Publication history The Super-Sons first appeared together in ''World's Finest Comics'' #154 (December 1965). Batman's imaginary son was seen first in ''Batman'' #131 (April 1960), ''Batman'' #145 (February 1962) and ''Batman'' #163 (May 1964). Dennis O'Neil
Dennis "Denny" Joseph O'Neil (May 3, 1939 – June 11, 2020) was an American comic book writer and editor, principally for Marvel Comics and DC Comics from the 1960s through the 1990s, and Group Editor for the Batman family of titles until his retirement. His best-known works include ''Green Lantern/Green Arrow'' and ''Batman (comic book), Batman'' with Neal Adams. For ''Batman'', the team is credited with returning the character to his dark pulp fiction roots, in contrast to the campy Batman (TV series), ''Batman'' television series of the 1960s. However, comics historian Les Daniels considers O'Neil's "vengeful obsessive-compulsive" Batman to be an original interpretation that has influenced all subsequent portrayals of the character. It was during this run that O'Neil co-created the Batman villains Ra's al Ghul and Talia al Ghul. The New 52
The New 52 was the 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire Line (comics), line of ongoing monthly superhero American comic books, comic books. Following the conclusion of the "Flashpoint (comics), Flashpoint" Fictional crossover, crossover storyline, DC cancelled all its existing titles and debuted 52 new series in September 2011. Among the renumbered series were ''Action Comics'' and ''Detective Comics'', which had retained their original numbering since the 1930s. The relaunch included changes to the publishing format; for example, print and digital comics began to be released on the same day. New titles were released to bring the number of ongoing monthly series to 52. Countdown To Final Crisis
''Countdown'', also known as ''Countdown to Final Crisis'' for its last 24 issues based on the cover, was a comic book Limited series (comics), limited series published by DC Comics. It debuted on May 9, 2007, directly following the conclusion of the last issue of ''52 (comics), 52''. The series is written primarily by Paul Dini, along with a rotating team of writers and artists. ''Countdown'' consists of 51 issues, numbered in reverse and published weekly for one year. The series covers much of the fictional DC Universe, told in parallel narratives through the interconnecting stories of a cast of characters. It frequently crosses over with List of DC Comics publications (K–O), other DC titles. Unlike the ''52'' limited series of the previous year, ''Countdown'' is not depicted as taking place in "Real time (media), real time" but presumably operates on the same floating timeline as DC Comics stories in general. Mister Mind
Mister Mind is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, primarily as an enemy of Captain Marvel (DC Comics), Captain Marvel. Created by Otto Binder and C. C. Beck for Fawcett Comics, the character made a cameo appearance in ''Captain Marvel Adventures'' #22 (March 1943) before making his full first appearance in ''Captain Marvel Adventures'' #26 (August 1943). Mister Mind is a two-inch Extraterrestrial life, alien caterpillar of high intelligence with telepathic powers who usually carries out his villainous plans through an organization called the Monster Society of Evil. The Society made its debut in ''Captain Marvel Adventures'' #22, and the resulting "Monster Society of Evil" story arc continued for two years in ''Captain Marvel Adventures'', ending with issue #46 (May 1945).
