Super Lap Battle
The Super Lap Battle Finals are a time attack event held at Buttonwillow Raceway Park near Bakersfield, California. This competition is fielded largely by privateer teams racing unibody-based production vehicles. History Beginning in 2004, The ''Sport Compact Car'' and Superstreet magazine sponsored Super Lap Battle finals are typically held just before SEMA, which lands in November of each year. The event was held twice in its inaugural year and with the exception of non-finals events being held at other venues, the Super Lap Battle finals have since been run once a year on Buttonwillow's Clockwise 13-turn (CW13) configuration.Superstreet Magazine, Source Interlink Magazines LLC, February 2010. Time Attack
Time attack is a type of motorsport in which the racers compete for the best lap time. Each vehicle is timed through numerous circuits of the track. The racers make a preliminary circuit, then run the timed laps, and then finish with a cool-down lap. Time attack and time trial events differ by competition format and rules. Time attack has a limited number of laps, time trial has open sessions. National Auto Sport Association
The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is an American motorsports organization promoting road racing and high-performance driver education. Founded in 1991, NASA hosts High Performance Driving Events ( HPDE), automotive rallies, Time Trial, autocross and amateur, club-level automotive racing, divided amongst regionally based chapters within the United States. In September 2006, NASA held its first-ever National Championships at Mid-Ohio. The NASA National Championships are open to any driver who earns points in a minimum of five regional races (in any NASA region or combination of regions). David Empringham
David Empringham (born December 28, 1963) is a Canadian auto racing driver. He is a two-time Toyota Atlantic, one-time Indy Lights and two-time Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge champion. Most recently, Empringham won the 2012 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS class driver's title with co-driver John Farano. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Empringham began his racing career in 1987, competing in the Spenard/David Formula 2000 series. He then competed regularly in the GM Motorsport series (teammate of Canadian racing legend Richard Spenard) for several years, drove a handful of races in the IMSA Firestone Firehawk series, the Porsche Turbo Cup and Formula Toyota Atlantic. is a Japanese racing driver and drifting driver who currently competes in Super GT and D1 Grand Prix. Taniguchi is commonly nicknamed "NOB" (first three letters from his name, meaning "No One Better") or "The Pimp" as a reference to his S15 Silvia which he is best known for. Nissan Skyline GT-R

The first cars named "Skyline GT-R" were produced between 1969 and 1972 under the model code KPGC10, and were successful in Japanese touring car racing events. Honda NSX
The Honda NSX, marketed in North America as the Acura NSX, is a two-seat, mid-engined coupe sports car manufactured by Honda. The origins of the NSX trace back to 1984, with the HP-X (Honda Pininfarina eXperimental) concept, which was a mid-engine 3.0 L V6 engine rear wheel drive sports car. Buttonwillow Raceway Park
Buttonwillow Raceway Park is a motorsports park in Kern County, California, north of the town of Buttonwillow and northwest of Bakersfield. Opened in 1995, it is owned and operated by the California Sports Car Club, a region of SCCA, Buttonwillow is the "flagship" track of Cal Club, and is also the location of the Club's administrative offices. The track offers multiple configurations, with the configuration "Race #13 CW" being the most popular. Many time attack series, most notably Super Lap Battle, hold their events with the 13CW configuration. The Super Lap Battle is a time attack event held at Buttonwillow since 2004. is a publicly traded company headquartered in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan specializing in the production and sales of aftermarket and accessory automotive parts and components.
