Super Heavyweight
Super heavyweight is a weight class in combat sports and bodybuilding, competitive bodybuilding. Boxing In amateur boxing, the super heavyweight division is a weight class division for fighters weighing in excess of 91 kilograms (200 pounds). Introduced for the 1984 Summer Olympics, the division is the amateur equivalent of the heavyweight division in professional boxing. The super heavyweight division was introduced because the general increase in the weight of top heavyweights throughout the 20th century meant that the heavyweight division became excessively broad, with the smaller men having little chance of competing effectively. Therefore, the bigger men were split off into the new super heavyweight division. Professional boxing also made this split, but instead of renaming the unlimited division, it introduced the Cruiserweight (boxing), cruiserweight division for the smaller heavyweights, and continued to call the unlimited division heavyweight. Weight Class
Weight classes are divisions of competition used to match competitors against others of their own size. Weight classes are used in a variety of sports including Rowing (sport), rowing, Weightlifting#Weightlifting sports, weight lifting, and especially combat sports such as boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Alternatives to formal weight classes include catch weight and openweight. The existence of weight divisions gives rise to the practice of weight cutting. To be the largest individual in a weight division is perceived as advantageous; therefore many athletes lose weight through dieting and dehydration prior to weigh-ins to qualify for a lower weight class. The boxing competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris ran from 27 July to 10 August. Preliminary boxing matches occurred at Parc des Expositions de Villepinte, Arena Paris Nord in Villepinte, Seine-Saint-Denis, Villepinte, with the medal rounds (semifinals and finals) staged at the Stade Roland Garros. The boxing program for 2024 Summer Olympics, Paris 2024 featured the same number of weight categories as those in the previous three editions, consisting of thirteen in total. Bakhodir Jalolov
Bakhodir Isomiddin oʻgʻli Jalolov (; born 8 July 1994) is an Uzbek professional boxer who won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships, and gold medals at the 2019 World Championships, 2023 World Championships, 2020 Summer Olympics and 2024 Summer Olympics. He also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and acted as Uzbekistan's flag bearer at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. Career Jalolov initially intended to play football and his father took him to a sports school to fulfill this ambition at age 11. The boxing tournaments at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place from 24 July to 8 August 2021 at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2015 European Games; and gold at the 2015 World Championships and 2016 Olympics. The boxing tournaments at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place from 6 to 21 August 2016 at the Pavilion 6 of Riocentro. However, boxing at the games was overshadowed with controversy after there were doubts raised that results in certain bouts had been manipulated. The boxing program of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, People's Republic of China, China was held at the Workers Indoor Arena. Medals were awarded in eleven events, with each event corresponding to a recognized weight division of male boxers.
