Super Aguri SA08
The Super Aguri SA08 is a Formula One racing car with which Super Aguri F1 competed in the 2008 Formula One season. Overview The SA08, similarly to the SA07, was a reworked design of the prior season's Honda F1 car - the RA107. Pre season testing did not start well for the team. At the scheduled January test in Jerez, James Rossiter was limited to just 10 laps in three days of testing due to parts issues. The team fared better at the February test, with drivers Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson completing consistent running of around 100 laps each per day. However, as the team progressed toward the season financial difficulties became apparent. While the SA08 passed its mandatory FIA crash test, the launch was cancelled and the team did not attend the final pre season test at Catalunya. Ahead of the first Grand Prix, it was understood the Magma Group were to acquire Super Aguri, and at this stage Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson were confirmed as the race drivers for the SA0 ...

Sequential Gearbox
A sequential manual transmission, also known as a sequential gearbox, or a sequential transmission, is a type of non-synchronous manual transmission used mostly for motorcycles and racing cars. It produces faster shift times than traditional synchronized manual transmissions, and restricts the driver to selecting either the next or previous gear, in a successive order. Design A sequential manual transmission is unsynchronized, and allows the driver to select either the next gear (e.g. shifting from first gear to second gear) or the previous gear (e.g., shifting from third gear to second gear), operated either via electronic paddle-shifters mounted behind the steering wheel or with a sequential shifter. This restriction avoids accidentally selecting the wrong gear; however, it also prevents the driver from deliberately "skipping" gears. The use of dog clutches (rather than synchromesh) results in faster shift speeds than a conventional manual transmission. On a sequential ...

Circuito De Jerez
Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto (formerly known as Circuit of Jerez and Circuito Permanente de Jerez), is a racing circuit located close to the city of Jerez de la Frontera, south of Seville and deep within the sherry-producing region in the south of Spain. The project was led by the Spanish engineer Manuel Medina Lara, based on a preliminary idea from Alessandro Rocci. Circuit history The circuit opened on 8 December 1985. During 1986 the circuit hosted the first international motorcycle event in Spain in March and the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix in April. The circuit's relatively remote location hindered significant spectator turnout, although up to 125,000 can be accommodated. Because of this, F1 moved to Barcelona following the 1991 race. In 1992, the track eliminated four corners to create the long right hander ''Curva Sito Pons''. Due to the hosting of the European Grand Prix in 1994, a new chicane was created (the ''Senna'' curve) at the corner where Martin ...
