Sunjaya Purwadisastra
Sunjaya Purwadisastra (born 1 June 1965) is an Indonesian politician from Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) who was the regent of Cirebon Regency, West Java. First elected in 2013 and sworn in in 2014, he was reelected in the 2018 election and was arrested as a graft suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission before he was sworn in for his second term. Early life and education Sunjaya Purwadisastra was born in Cirebon Regency on 1 June 1965 as the son of a village chief. After completing basic education, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in administrative sciences in 1995 and later in economics in 2000. He also studied at the University of Indonesia and obtained a doctorate in 2017 from Indonesia's Home Government Institute (''Institut Pemerintah Dalam Negeri''). Cirebon Regency
Cirebon Regency is a regency ''(kabupaten)'' of West Java, Indonesia. Sumber is its capital. It covers 1,070.29 km2 and had a population of 2,068,116 at the 2010 censusBiro Pusat Statistik, Jakarta, 2011. and 2,270,621 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 2,290,967. These area and population figures exclude those of Cirebon City, which is an independent administration, although totally surrounded by the regency on its landward side. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle ( id, Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, PDI-P) is an Indonesian political party, and the party of the current President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. Tubagus Hasanuddin (born 8 September 1952) is an Indonesian politician and former general who has served as a member of the People's Representative Council between 2009 and 2018, and from 2019 to present. 2017 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election
Two rounds of a gubernatorial election were held in Jakarta as part of the 2017 simultaneous elections on 15 February and 19 April 2017 to elect the governor of Jakarta to a five-year term. Incumbent governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, popularly referred to as "Ahok", and his deputy Djarot Saiful Hidayat were running for re-election to a second term.
