Cuttack
Cuttack (, or officially Kataka in Odia language, Odia ), is the former capital, deputy capital and the 2nd largest city of the Indian state of Odisha. Twenty20 (abbreviated T20) is a shortened format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of twenty over (cricket), overs. The Odisha cricket team (known as Orissa until 2011) is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Odisha. It is in the elite group of the Ranji Trophy. Its main home ground is Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Home matches are also played at DRIEMS Ground in Cuttack, East Coast Railway Stadium and KIIT Cricket Stadium in Bhubaneswar, and Veer Surendra Sai Stadium in Sambalpur. 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
The 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the thirteenth edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. Played from 10 to 31 January 2021, it was contested by all 38 Ranji Trophy teams and won by Tamil Nadu, their second title. On 17 December 2020, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the fixtures, with the 38 teams split into six groups. Groups A to E had six teams, while the Plate Group had eight teams. The winners from each group progressed to the quarter-finals, along with the next two teams in Groups A to E with the most points. The 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the 29th edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, an annual List A cricket tournament in India. It was played from 8 December 2021, and finished on 26 December 2021. Mumbai were the defending champions. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to start on 23 February 2022, but was later preponed to 1 December 2021 and then postponed to 8 December 2021. The teams were initially divided into four groups, with nine teams each in Groups A and B, and ten each in Groups C and Plate.
