The ''Sunday Times Rich List 2023'' is the 35th annual survey of the wealthiest people resident in the United Kingdom, published by ''The Sunday Times'' online on 19 May 2023 and in print on 21 May 2023. The list was edited by Robert Watts who succeeded long-term compiler Philip Beresford Philip Beresford was the compiler of the '' Sunday Times Rich List'', which is compiled in January every year featuring the richest 1,000 people in the United Kingdom The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known ... in 2017. ''The Sunday Times'' is a British newspaper whose circulation makes it the largest in Britain's quality press market category. It was founded in 1821 as ''The New Observer''. Hans Kristian Rausing (; born 15 June 1963) is a Swedish billionaire and the son of packaging industrialist Hans Rausing. His grandfather Ruben Rausing founded the food-packaging giant Tetra Pak. The family has an estimated $12 billion fortune. Rausing did not enter the family business. Instead, he travelled in his youth before meeting Eva Kemeny while in drug rehabilitation in the United States. On 16 October 1992, the couple married. Sigrid Maria Elisabet Rausing (born 29 January 1962) is a Swedish philanthropist, anthropologist and publisher. She is the founder of the Sigrid Rausing Trust, one of the United Kingdom's largest philanthropic foundations, and owner of ''Granta'' magazine and Granta Books. Anna Lisbet Kristina Rausing (born 9 June 1960) is a science historian and philanthropist. She is a co-founder of Arcadia, one of the UK's largest philanthropic foundations. The Rausing family are a wealthy Swedish family, best known for the Tetra Pak founder Ruben Rausing. Several members of the family now live in the United Kingdom. History The son of the small business owners August Andersson and Mathilda Fredrika Svensson, Ruben Andersson (later Rausing), was born 1895 in Raus, Helsingborg.
