Sun Li ( zh , s = 孙俪 , born 26 September 1982), also known as Susan Sun, is a Chinese actress, best known for TV dramas such as ''Goddess of Mercy'' (2003), ''Happiness as Flowers'' (2005), ''Shanghai Bund'' (2007), '' Empresses in the Palace'' (2011), '' The Legend of Mi Yue'' (2015), and '' Nothing Gold Can Stay'' (2017). Her films include '' Painted Skin'' (2008), '' The Breakup Guru'' (2014)'', Devil and Angel'' (2015), and ''Shadow'' (2018). The Hundred Flowers Awards () are, together with the Golden Rooster Awards, the most prestigious film awards honouring the best in Chinese cinema, as well as Hong Kong cinema and the Cinema of Taiwan. They are classified as the Chinese equivalent of the United States' Golden Globes. The awards were inaugurated by China Film Association in 1962 and sponsored by ''Popular Cinema'' () magazine, which has the largest circulation in mainland China. Empress Xiaoshengxian
Empress Xiaoshengxian (12 January 1692 – 2 March 1777), of the Manchu Bordered Yellow Banner Niohuru clan, was a posthumous name bestowed to the consort of Yinzhen, the Yongzheng Emperor and mother of Hongli, the Qianlong Emperor. She was honoured as Empress Dowager Chongqing during the reign of her son and posthumously honoured as empress, although she never held the rank of empress consort during her lifetime. When the empress seat was vacant after Empress Xiaojingxian of the Ulanara clan's death, she was placed in charge of the imperial harem as the highest ranked concubine in that time. The Qianlong Emperor held her in high regard and often consulted her for advice. She died in 1777 and outlived many of her son's consorts. Geling Yan (; born 16 November 1958) is a Chinese-American author and screenwriter. Early life Yan was born in Shanghai, China in 1958. She is the second child of Yan Dunxun and Jia Lin. She has an elder brother Yan Geping (严歌平). Her father is an alumnus of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University. Yan began performing as a dancer at age 12. She served in the People's Liberation Army in Chengdu, during the Cultural Revolution in Tibet and later as a journalist in the Sino-Vietnamese War, achieving a rank equivalent to lieutenant colonel.
