Stephen Pavlovic (born 1966) is an Australian music entrepreneur. Pavlovic began promoting music tours, events and concerts in 1990. Since then he has toured artists including Nirvana (band), Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, Beck, Foo Fighters, Daft Punk, The Cure, Grace Jones, LCD Soundsystem, and more. In 1998 he founded the record label Modular Recordings home to The Avalanches, Tame Impala and Cut Copy and others. Ratcat are an Australian indie rock band from Sydney who formed in 1985. The band is fronted by mainstay vocalist and guitarist, Simon Day. Their combination of indie pop song writing and energetic Punk rock, punk-style guitar rock won them fans from both the indie rock, indie and skate-punk communities. They found mainstream success with their extended play, ''Tingles'' (October 1990), album ''Blind Love (album), Blind Love'' (June 1991) and the single, "Don't Go Now" (April), which all reached No. 1 on the ARIA Charts during 1991. Fellaheen Records
Fellaheen Records was an Australian record label run by Steven Stavrakis and Stephen Pavlovic. The label was founded in 1993 after Stavrakis' closed his previous label Waterfront Records. The new label released music from local and international acts, including Australians Fur, Budd, Sourpuss, Ben Lee, Magic Dirt, and was considered more "indie" than Waterfront. In 1995 they released the Beastie Boys' ''Aglio E Olio'' EP as a lathe cut clear vinyl record, with some being shared with the Beastie Boys' label Grand Royal. Three other lathe records were released for bands Gerling, Pavement, and Sourpuss. The label also released other Grand Royal albums by DJ Hurricane and Luscious Jackson, often with exclusives tracks. Grand Royal in turn released Ben Lee's debut album in America, and Fellaheen is credited with starting Ben Lee's career. Vivid LIVE is an annual contemporary music festival held by Sydney Opera House as part of Vivid Sydney. The Lemonheads
The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band formed in Boston in 1986 by Evan Dando, Ben Deily, and Jesse Peretz. Dando has remained the band's only constant member. After their initial punk-influenced releases and tours as an independent/ college rock band in the late 1980s, the Lemonheads' popularity with a mass audience grew in 1992 with the major label album '' It's a Shame about Ray'', which was produced, engineered, and mixed by the Robb Brothers ( Bruce Robb, Dee, and Joe). Mudhoney is an American rock music, rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, on January 1, 1988, following the demise of Green River (band), Green River. Its members are singer and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner (guitarist), Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison and drummer Dan Peters. The Cruel Sea are an Australian indie rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, formed in late 1987. Originally an instrumental band, they became more popular when fronted by vocalist Tex Perkins (also Beasts of Bourbon).
