Sumita Misra
Sumita Misra (born 30 January 1967) is an Indian civil servant and poet serving as an officer in the IAS. Currently, she is serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation & Administration of Justice Departments under the Haryana government. Early life and education Sumita Misra was born on the 30th January 1967 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She attended Loreto Convent and La Martiniere and earned degrees in Economics and Math. She obtained a PhD in Economics at Kurukshetra University in 2015. She has also participated in public policy programs at institutions such as Harvard University, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, the Royal Institute of Public Administration in London, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and the University of Cambridge.
