Sumaman Senior High School
Sumaman Senior High School is a public senior high school located in Suma-Ahenkro in the Jaman North District in the Bono Region of Ghana. History The Omanhene and elders of the Suma Traditional Area established the school in September 1981 as a community day secondary school. In September 1989, it was fully absorbed after it was initially partially absorbed into the public stream. In 2022, the school won the Bono Regional Renewable Energy Challenge. Suma-Ahenkro is a town in the Bono Region of Ghana. It is the capital town of Suma Traditional area. The town is known for the Sumaman Senior High School. The Suma Traditional Area is one of the notable traditional areas in the Bono Region of Ghana. It is one of the core states of the traditional Gyaaman Kingdom that exist in parts of the Republics of Ghana and La Côte d'Ivoire. Bono Region
The Bono region is one of the 16 administrative regions of Ghana. It is as a result of the remainder of Brong-Ahafo region when Bono East region and Ahafo region were created. Sunyani, also known as the green city of Ghana, is the regional capital. Sunyani can pride itself as the cleanest capital city and a major conference destination. Creation of the region The region was created after the Ahafo region and Bono East region respectively have been carved out of the then Brong-Ahafo region. This was in fulfillment of a promise made by candidate Nana Akuffo Addo in his 2016 campaign activities. Jaman North District
Jaman North District is one of the twelve districts in Bono Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Jaman District on 10 March 1989, which was created from the former Berekum-Jaman District Council, until part of the district was split off to create Jaman North District on 12 November 203 (effectively 17 February 2004); thus the remaining part has been renamed as Jaman South District; which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 November 2017 (effectively 15 March 2018) to become Jaman South Municipal District. The Sunyani Technical University (STU) (formally known as Sunyani Polytechnic) is a public tertiary institution in the Bono Region of Ghana. It is located northeast of Asufufu.
