Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin (born 11 May 1979) is an Indonesian politician serving as speaker of the Regional Representative Council since 2024. La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti (born 10 May 1959) is an Indonesian politician. Currently speaker of the Regional Representative Council, he was formerly chairman of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). Career During the first half of Djohar Arifin Husin's tenure, Mattalitti led the Indonesian Football Savior Committee (KPSI). He is also known as one of the prominent member of Pemuda Pancasila, a paramilitary organization. Between the 2009 presidential election through 2018, he was a staunch supporter of Prabowo Subianto and his party Gerindra. Regional Representative Council
The Regional Representative Council (, DPD; alternatively translatable as the House of Regions or the House of Regional Representatives or the Senate of Indonesia), is one of two parliamentary chambers in Indonesia. Together with the House of Representatives (DPR), it makes up the Indonesian national legislative body, the ''Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat'' (MPR). Under Indonesia's constitution, the authority of the DPD is limited to areas related to regional governments and can only propose and give advice on bills to the DPR. Unlike the DPR, the DPD has no direct law-making power. Its members are usually called senators instead of DPD members. Bengkulu (), historically known as Bencoolen, is a province of Indonesia. It is located on the southwest coast of Sumatra. It was formed on 18 November 1968 by separating out the area of the historic Bencoolen Residency from the province of South Sumatra under Law No. 9 of 1967 and was finalized by Government Regulation No. 20 of 1968.
