Sulaymani
The Sulaymani branch of Tayyibi Isma'ilism is an Islamic community, of which around 70,000 members reside in Yemen, while a few thousand Sulaymani Bohras can be found in India. The Sulaymanis are sometimes headed by a ''Da'i al-Mutlaq'' from the Makrami family. It is not correct to assume that this branch is always headed by someone from the Makrami family, as the Da'i al Mutlaq could be from other families and communities. Examples: the first Da'i was Dhuayb Bin Mousa from the Banu Hamdan, Dawud Bin Ajab Shah was an Indian, Sulayman Bin Al Hassan was an Indian and some of his brothers and sons were Indians. It is true, however, that for the very recent Da'is they have came from the Makrami family, with the exception of the late Da'i Abdullah bin Mohammad, who was not from the Makrami family. Da'i Al-Mutlaq
(; pl. , ) is the most senior spiritual rank and office in Tayyibi Isma'ilism. The Da'i al-Mutlaq has headed the Tayyibi community since the occultation (Islam), seclusion of the 21st Tayyibi Imamate in Ismaili doctrine, Imam, at-Tayyib Abu'l-Qasim, traditionally placed in 528 Anno Hegirae, AH/1134 AD. According to Tayyibi Isma'ili tradition, in the Imam's absence, the Da'i al-Mutlaq is the faith's highest authority; i.e., the Da'i al-Mutlaq holds the same authority as the Imam. Before the seclusion of al-Tayyib, the Da'i al-Mutlaq operated under the direct orders of the Imam and his trusted associates in regions where Isma'ili faithful were present, either living openly propounding their faith, or secretly due to fear of persecution. Sulayman Bin Hassan
The 27th Da'i al-Mutlaq of Ismailism according to the Sulaymanis. The Sulaymanis believed he became a Dai' as per the " Nass" of Syedna Dawood Bin Ajabshah while those who did not accept this (primarily in India and elsewhere in Arab lands) were called Dawoodi Bohras. He was born to Hasan bin Yusuf Najmuddin ibn Sulaiman and mother Zainab binte Moosa, niece of Syedna Yusuf on the 6th of Shawwal 961 AH, 13 September 1554 AD, in Qasr-e-Sa'daan, Qila-e-Tayba of Qabeela-e-Hamadaan, the city of Sana'a in Today's north Yemen. Tayyibi Isma'ilism
Tayyibi Isma'ilism () is the only surviving sect of the Musta'li Ismailism, Musta'li branch of Isma'ilism, the other being the extinct Hafizi Isma'ilism, Hafizi branch. Followers of Tayyibi Isma'ilism are found in various Bohra communities: Dawoodi Bohra, Dawoodi, Sulaymani, and Alavi Bohras, Alavi. The Tayyibi originally split from the Fatimid Caliphate-supporting Hafizi Isma'ilism, Hafizi branch by supporting the right of at-Tayyib Abu'l-Qasim to the Imamate in Ismaili doctrine, Imamate. Dawood Bin Ajabshah
Syedna Dawood Bin Maulai Ajab Shah Burhanuddin (died on 27 Rabi ul Aakhir 999 AH Islamic calendar, AH/1591 AD) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India was the 26th ''Da'i al-Mutlaq'' (Absolute Missionary) of the Dawoodi Bohra branch of Mustaali, Musta‘lī Islam. He succeeded the 25th Dai Syedna Jalal Shamshuddin bin Hasan to the religious post. Life Syedna Dawood was born in the year 1523. After acquiring elementary education in Ahmedabad, he travelled to Yemen for further studies under Syedna Yusuf Najmuddin I. Upon returning to Ahmadabad, he served under Syedna Jalal Shamshuddin bin Hasan. In 1574, under persecution from Mohammad bin Taher Neherwali and local governor Meer Jahan, Syedna Jalal left Ahmadabad to Vadodara. In 1583, he moved to Kapadvanj and stayed over there for 3 months. Banu Yam
Banu Yam (, ') is an Arabian tribe that belongs to the Qahtanite branch of Arabian tribes, specifically the group known as Banu Hamdan, and are, therefore, native to southwestern Arabia. Their traditional way of life was well suited to life in the Arabian Desert and East Saharo-Arabian xeric shrublands they once lived in. Most have moved into small villages and given up their previous nomadic way of life. The tribe of Yam was also the progenitor of two other important tribes: the Al Murrah and the 'Ujman of eastern Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf coast. Najran ( '), is a city in southwestern Saudi Arabia. It is the capital of Najran Province. Today, the city of Najran is one of the fastest-growing cities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Süleyman Hilmi Tunahan
Hazret Süleyman Hilmi Tunahan (1888, Silistre, Bulgaria - 16 September 1959; Kısıklı, Üsküdar, Istanbul ); is the founder of the Süleymancılar Sufi order, a Turkish Islamic scholar, and mystic. Biography Suleiman Hilmi Tunahan was a distinguished figure in Islam, known for his guidance and courage. He dedicated his entire life, which spanned seventy-one years from 1888 to 1959, to the service of Islam. His grandfather was Hafiz Qaymaq, and his family traced its lineage back to his great-grandfather Idris Bey, who was a descendant of the Messenger of God. During his caliphate, Sultan Al-Fatih sought someone related to the Messenger who was still alive.
