Jaujan Sambakong
Jaujan bin Sambakong is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sulabayan since May 2013. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah III and State Minister of Housing and Local Government of Sabah in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) state administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal from May 2018 to the collapse of the WARISAN state administration in September 2020. He is a member of WARISAN and was a member of the United Malays National Organisation of Sabah (Sabah UMNO), a branch of a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. The Heritage Party (; abbrev: WARISAN) is a multi-racial political party in Malaysia which was rebranded and renamed from the Sabah Heritage Party (), a Sabah-based party led by Shafie Apdal formed earlier on 17 October 2016 after its expansion into national level politics at the end of 2021. History The party formed an electoral allies with Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the 2018 general election (GE14). Its President Shafie Apdal promised that the party would be represented within the federal cabinet if PH was elected to power. adding that through the electoral pact they will "only work together, not joining the PH pact as their party will only contest in Sabah". The Sabah State Legislative Assembly ( Kadazandusun: ''Langga' Tinukuan Pogun Sabah'', ) is a part of the legislature of Sabah, Malaysia, the other being the governor of Sabah. The assembly meets at the Sabah State Legislative Assembly Building at Likas in the state capital of Kota Kinabalu. This unicameral legislature currently has 73 seats representing state constituencies elected through a first-past-the-post electoral system across the state. Sakaran Dandai
Sakaran Mohd Hashim bin Dandai (15 April 1930 – 30 August 2021) was a Malaysian politician. Biography He served as the 8th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah from January 1995 to December 2002, 8th Chief Minister of Sabah briefly from March 1994 to December 1994 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Semporna from August 1986 to April 1995. In 1990, he was appointed as the Minister of Lands and Co-operatives Development by Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. In August 2021, Sakaran Dandai was diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted to intensive care unit (ICU) at Gleneagles Hospital, Kota Kinabalu. On 30 August at 5:30 a.m., Sakaran aged 91, died due to COVID-19. He was buried at Makam Pahlawan near the Sabah State Mosque in Kota Kinabalu.
