Suhrawardy Administration
The Suhrawardy government also called the Suhrawardy administration was the sixth Government of Pakistan, government and Cabinet of Pakistan, cabinet of Pakistan which was formed by Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy on 12 September 1956 after the resignation of Chaudhry Muhammad Ali. The government was dominated by Bengalis, Bengali politicians from East Pakistan and members of the ruling All-Pakistan Awami League. The Awami League joined a coalition with the Republican Party (Pakistan), Republican Party to form the government. Growing animosity between West Pakistan, West and East Pakistan as well as between Suhrawardy’s coalition partners and his own party members led to Suhrawardy’s resignation and succession by the Chundrigar government in October 1957. Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy
Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy (8 September 18925 December 1963) was an East Pakistani barrister, politician and statesman who served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1956 to 1957 and before that as the Prime Minister of Bengal from 1946 to 1947. In both Pakistan and Bangladesh, Suhrawardy is regarded as a patron of Two-Nation Theory, separate homeland for the Muslims, especially for Bengali Muslims, for which he is revered as one of the List of Pakistan Movement activists, founding statesmen of Pakistan. Born in 1892 at Midnapore, Suhrawardy was a scion of one of Bengal Presidency, British Bengal's most prominent Muslim families, the Suhrawardy family. His father Zahid Suhrawardy, Sir Zahid Suhrawardy was a judge of the high court in Bengal. Suhrawardy studied law in University of Oxford, Oxford. Yusuf Haroon
Muhammad Yusuf Abdullah Haroon (1916 – 12 February 2011) was a Pakistani businessman and politician who served as the 5th Governor of West Pakistan and 3rd Chief Minister of Sindh. Early life and family Born in 1916 to Abdullah Haroon, Yusuf worked closely with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as his personal assistant and was active in the Pakistan Movement. He was a witness to All-India Muslim League's 25th session in Allahabad in 1930. Yusuf married Pasha Haroon, the niece of Aga Khan III who was the 48th Imam of the Ismaili Shias, in 1937. Career Yusuf was active in politics spanning nearly seven decades. From 10 May 1944 to 8 May 1945, he served as mayor of pre-independence Karachi. After independence, he served as Chief Minister of Sindh between 1949–50, where he piloted a bill for land reform to abolish large land-holdings.
