Suhani Pittie
Suhani Pittie (born 14 April 1981) is an Indian jewellery designer based in Hyderabad, India. She launched her own jewellery label, Suhani Pittie label in 2004. The World Gold Council has enlisted Pittie as one of the top 10 most inventive and ingenious jewellery designers in the world. Early life Born in Calcutta, India to a traditional business family, Suhani studied gemology at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, USA. One of three sisters, she is the youngest. At age 20, Suhani established her own training institute, teaching grading of diamonds and coloured stones. Her work earned her the ''SinGem Award for Excellence'' in the field of gemology. Gemological Institute Of America
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is a nonprofit institute based in Carlsbad, California. It is dedicated to research and education in the field of gemology and the jewelry arts. Founded in 1931, GIA's mission is to protect buyers and sellers of gemstones by setting and maintaining the standards used to evaluate gemstone quality. The institute does so through research, gem identification, diamond grading services, and a variety of educational programs. India Fashion Week is a bi-annual fashion week organized and promoted by the Fashion Design Council of India. Wills Lifestyle sponsored it from 2006–2014 before Amazon became the sponsor. The first event in 2000 featured the work of 33 designers. There were also over thirty presenters at the Spring Fashion Week in March 2013. In 2010, fire permits were not secured in time for the first-day events which caused an extra day to be added to accommodate the presentations that had been canceled on the first day. The WIFW autumn-winter 2014 started on 26 March 2014 with actress Shilpa Shetty walking the ramp wearing the collections of designer Tarun Tahiliani. Gaj Singh II (born 13 January 1948), known as 'Bapji' (meaning 'father'), is the titular Maharaja of Jodhpur since 1952, as well as an Indian politician and diplomat. Early years and accession Gaj Singh was born on 13 January 1948 to Hanwant Singh and his first wife, Krishna Kumari, in the Zenana (women's quarters) of Umaid Bhawan Palace.
