Sue Hatcher
Sue Hatcher is an Australian animal genetics researcher at the Orange Agricultural Institute, part of the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries. Career Hatcher received her Bachelor's degree in 1989 and PhD from the University of Western Australia in 1995 in Animal Science. She then took a position with the Woolmark Company as their Wool Grower Communications Officer, before leaving in 1997 to work with New South Wales Agriculture. She conducts applied research into the genetic, economic and industry constraints on wool production around Australia, including work on wool metrology and fibre identification. Department Of Primary Industries (New South Wales)
The New South Wales Department of Primary Industries (DPI) was an agency of the New South Wales Government, responsible for the administration and development for agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture, forestry, and biosecurity in New South Wales. The DPI worked to drive innovation in primary industries to improve resilience, productivity and sustainability, and to ensure risks are managed for natural resources, farming and food.
