English DJ and record producer Sub Focus has released four studio albums and 43 singles. In March 2005, he had a number-one single on the UK Dance Chart with "X-Ray / Scarecrow". The single reached number 60 on the UK Singles Chart. In June 2008, he hit number one on the UK Dance Chart again with " Timewarp / Join the Dots". In August 2009, he entered the UK top 40 for the first time with " Rock It / Follow the Light", which peaked at number 38. Nicolaas Douwma (born 13 April 1982), better known by his stage name Sub Focus, is an English DJ, music producer, songwriter and sound engineer. He has been releasing records since 2003. On 12 October 2009, he released his self-titled debut album. He released his second album, ''Torus'', on 30 September 2013. Douwma's album in collaboration with Wilkinson titled '' Portals'' was released on 9 October 2020 through Casablanca Records. His fourth album, '' Evolve'', was released on 12 May 2023. ''Torus'' is the second studio album by British DJ and record producer Sub Focus. The album was released on 30 September 2013, through RAM Records, Mercury Records and Virgin EMI Records. Musical concept and songs ''Torus'' is the geometric name for the shape in Sub Focus' logo. It originally featured on his eponymous debut album cover and the shape has played a major visual role in his live shows, promotion and artwork. The title track was written as an intro to Douwma's live sets, in preparation for a Brixton performance in 2012. He wanted to start his sets with a low tempo and gradually speed up. "Safe in Sound" was one of the earliest tracks to be completed and was written with Seton Daunt and later given the Mary O'Hara sample. Mark Wilkinson (born 18 April 1989), better known by his stage name Wilkinson, is an English record producer, DJ and remixer from Hammersmith, England. He has released music on RAM Records and Hospital Records, as well as Virgin EMI. His 2013 single "Afterglow" with vocals by Becky Hill reached number 8 on the UK Singles Chart on 20 October 2013. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created in 1995 on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published; one is on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia.
