Stéphane Dumas (basketball)
Stéphane Louis André Dumas (born 14 September 1978) is a French basketball coach and former player who played as a point guard. From 2020 to 2022, he was the assistant basketball coach for Gran Canaria of the Liga ACB, alongside Spaniard Alejandro Paniagua, the current coach of the Equatorial Guinea national team. Professional playing career After winning three competitions with CSP Limoges, Dumas arrives to Spain and signs with Joventut Badalona, where he plays two years. team who was runner-up of the Copa del Rey. After playing in Badalona he plays between 2002 and 2003 in Fórum Valladolid and Caprabo Lleida. The next year comes back to Joventut Badalona, where he is runner-up of the Copa del Rey. In 2006, he signs with Baloncesto León of LEB League, Spanish second division, and he plays two years. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administered by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Primera FEB and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. 2022–23 EuroCup Basketball
The 2022–23 EuroCup Basketball season was the 21st season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It is the 15th season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the seventh and final season under the title sponsorship name of 7DAYS. The season began on 11 October 2022 and ended 3 May 2023. Gran Canaria defeated Türk Telekom in the final, which was played at the Gran Canaria Arena in Las Palmas, to win their first EuroCup title. As winners, Gran Canaria automatically qualified for the 2023–24 EuroLeague. However, Gran Canaria gave up their spot in the league due to financial reasons. The defending champions were Virtus Bologna, who were unable to defend their title as they played in the 2022–23 EuroLeague. Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Tenerife Club de Baloncesto was a professional basketball team based in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. History Tenerife CB was founded in 1996 after the fusion of some teams of the islands and debuts in LEB Oro in the 1996–97 season, the first of this league. In the 2002–03 season, Tenerife plays the FIBA Champions' Cup and reaches the second stage. In the same year, Tenerife CB becomes champion of the Copa Príncipe and promotes to Liga ACB, where plays two seasons before being relegated to LEB Oro. In summer of 2010, Tenerife CB renounces to its berth in LEB Oro due to financial problems and is relegated to Liga EBA. In the next summer and after reaching the promotion playoffs, Tenerife CB achieved a vacant berth to play in LEB Plata, the Spanish basketball third division. Liga Española De Baloncesto
The Primera FEB, formerly known as LEB or LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The FEB leagues are divided into three categories (the other two are the Segunda FEB and the Tercera FEB). The league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the Primera FEB are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. Equatorial Guinea National Basketball Team
The Equatorial Guinea national basketball team is the national basketball team from Equatorial Guinea. It has yet to appear at the FIBA World Championship or the FIBA Africa Championship. The team was originally set to take part in the AfroBasket 2017 qualification. At the AfroBasket 2021 qualification, the team started out strong as it won its first four games. Yet, at the end the Equatoguineans did not qualify due to narrowly losing the direct comparison against Guinea by two points.
