Ståle Oldeide
StÃ¥le Oldeide (born 25 December 1966) is a retired Norwegian football goalkeeper. Starting his career in Ã…kra IL, he joined regional greats Bryne FK in 1987. Oldeide was bought by ambitious Lyn Fotball in 1994. Failing to secure promotion to Eliteserien, he did however score a penalty in 1994. In 1996 he went on loan to Ã…kra, and from there to FK Haugesund as the newly promoted first-tier team's reserve goalkeeper in 1997. Ã…kra is a former municipality in the traditional district of Haugaland in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1892 until 1965 and it encompassed the central part of the western coast of the island of Karmøy. The administrative centre was the village of Ã…krehamn. History The municipality of ''Aakra'' was established on 1 January 1892 when it was split off from the municipality of Skudenes. Initially, the new municipality had a population of 1,962. On 1 January 1965, the municipality of Ã…kra was dissolved due to recommendations by the Schei Committee. Ã…kra was merged with the neighboring municipalities of Avaldsnes, Skudenes, Stangaland, and Torvastad and with the towns of Kopervik and Skudeneshavn to form the new, larger municipality of Karmøy.
