Stumpers (game Show)
''Stumpers!'' is a game show hosted by Allen Ludden that aired on NBC from October 4 to December 31, 1976. Lin Bolen, former head of NBC Daytime Programming, developed the show. Bill Armstrong was the program's regular announcer, with Charlie O'Donnell filling in for several episodes. The show featured game play similar to ''Password'', with two teams (consisting of one celebrity and one contestant) attempting to guess the subject of puzzles based on clues provided by their opponents. ''M*A*S*H'' is an American war comedy drama television series that aired on CBS from September 17, 1972, to February 28, 1983. Mike Farrell
Michael Joseph Farrell Jr. (born February 6, 1939) is an American actor, best known for his role as Captain B.J. Hunnicutt on the television series '' M*A*S*H'' (1975–83). In addition, Farrell was a producer of '' Patch Adams'' (1998) starring Robin Williams, and he starred in the television series '' Providence'' (1999–2002). Lin Bolen (March 21, 1941 – January 19, 2018) was an American television executive and producer. She was most noted for her role at NBC daytime television programming as the first female vice president of a TV network, a position she held from 1972 until 1976. In this role, Bolen was responsible for commissioning the long-running game show '' Wheel of Fortune'' and is credited with bringing successful long form to network soap operas. Allen Ellsworth Ludden (born Allen Packard Ellsworth; October 5, 1917 – June 9, 1981) was an American television personality, actor, singer, emcee, and game show host. William Armstrong (born January 19, 1932, Gloucester, Massachusetts – January 2, 2000, Frazier Park, California) was an American television game show announcer and producer. ''50 Grand Slam'' is a game show from Ralph Andrews Productions that aired on NBC from October 4 to December 31, 1976. Tom Kennedy hosted the show (although Peter Haskell served as emcee for the unaired pilot), with John Harlan as the announcer. It premiered and ended on the same day as the show that preceded it on the NBC schedule, '' Stumpers!'', which was hosted by Allen Ludden, who appeared at the beginning of the premiere to wish Kennedy luck (Kennedy also appeared on the first episode of ''Stumpers!'' to wish Ludden luck).
