Diamond Rio
Diamond Rio is an American country music band from Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of Marty Roe (lead vocals, guitar), Jimmy Olander (lead guitar, banjo), Dan Truman (keyboards), Dana Williams (bass guitar, vocals), Micah Schweinsberg (drums), and Carson McKee (fiddle, mandolin, vocals). The band was founded in 1982 as an attraction for the Opryland USA theme park in Nashville, Tennessee, and was originally known as the Grizzly River Boys, then the Tennessee River Boys. It was founded by vocalists Matt Davenport, Danny Gregg, and Ty Herndon, the last of whom became a solo artist in the mid-1990s. ''One More Day'' is the sixth studio album by American country music band Diamond Rio. It was released in 2001. Although its lead-off single "Stuff" peaked at #36 on the Hot Country Songs charts, the title track, " One More Day", became popular on radio after the death of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and went on to become a Number One country hit. Also released from this album were " Sweet Summer" and "That's Just That". "I'm Trying" was previously recorded by Kevin Sharp on his 1998 album '' Love Is'', and later by Martina McBride on her 2009 album '' Shine''. Recording ''One More Day'' was recorded in 18 months. The band discussed their view of the album on Arista's website in 2000. "We feel like we've got the best group of songs that we've ever had on record," said Dana Williams. Arista Nashville was an American record label that served as a wholly owned division of Sony Music, operated under the Sony Music Nashville division. Founded in 1989, the label specialized in country music artists, including Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley, and Carrie Underwood.
