Studio Lenca is a UK based contemporary artist from El Salvador. The artist explores themes of identity, belonging and migration. Born in La Paz, El Salvador Studio Lenca now lives and works in Margate, UK Early life and education Studio Lenca, also known as Jose Campos, was born in La Paz El Salvador in 1986. After travelling illegally to the USA he grew up in San Francisco, California. Studio Lenca attended San Francisco School of the Arts, now known as The Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts. In 2013, Studio Lenca attended The London Contemporary Dance School, he was the first person in his immediate family to attend university. In 2019, Studio Lenca graduated from the MA in Arts and Learning at Goldsmiths University of London. Karyn Olivier
Karyn Olivier (born 1968) is a Philadelphia-based artist who creates public art, sculptures, installations and photography. Olivier alters familiar objects, spaces, and locations, often reinterpreting the role of monuments. Her work intersects histories and memories with present-day narratives. Early life and education Olivier was born in 1968 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, where she and her twin sister lived with their family before they moved to Brooklyn, New York, in early childhood. Olivier received a BA in psychology from Dartmouth College in 1989 and an MFA in ceramics from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2001. Liz Cohen (born 1973) is an American artist, known as a performance artist, photographer, educator, and automotive designer. She currently teaches at Arizona State University (ASU), and lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Early life and education Cohen was born 1973 in Phoenix, Arizona and was raised there, a first-generation American of a Colombian Jewish family. Cohen graduated with a dual major in 1996 with a BFA degree in studio art from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and a BA degree in philosophy from Tufts University. Carmen Argote (born 1981) is a Los Angeles-based artist. She hails from Guadalajara. She is known for performance art and sculpture. Norberto Roldan
Norberto Roldan (born 1953 in Roxas City, Philippines) is a visual artist and curator. He is widely known for founding the artist collective Black Artists of Asia, which in turn founded the Visayas Islands Visual Arts Exhibition and Conference (VIVA ExCon).
