Charlie Strutton
Charles George Strutton (17 April 1989 – 21 February 2024) was an English professional footballer who played as a striker. Strutton died on 21 February 2024, at the age of 34. Career Non–League career Strutton came through the youth system of Chalfont St Peter and was moved up to the first team squad at the age of 17 in 2006, where he remained until 2012. Strutton proved to be a prolific goal scorer for the club, scoring 14 league goals in 29 appearances in 2007–08. The following season, he improved his tally, scoring 25 goals in 32 appearances for "The Saints" during the 2008–09 season. Strutton scored 42 league goals in 64 appearances between 2010 and 2012. AFC Wimbledon On 2 March 2012, it was announced that Strutton had signed a short–term contract with AFC Wimbledon. The striker was immediately loaned out to Maidenhead United on the same day. Benjamin Thomas Strutton (1892 – 9 February 1968) was an English cricketer. Strutton's batting (cricket), batting style is unknown, though it is known he bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Stifford, Essex. Strutton made his first-class cricket, first-class debut for Essex County Cricket Club, Essex against Middlesex County Cricket Club, Middlesex at the County Ground, Leyton, in the 1914 County Championship. He made three further first-class appearances for Essex following World War I. These came in the 1919 County Championship against Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Yorkshire, Somerset County Cricket Club, Somerset and Hampshire County Cricket Club, Hampshire. In his four first-class matches, he scored a total of 64 runs at an batting average (cricket), average of 12.80, with a high score of 19. William Harold Strutton (23 February 1918 – 23 November 2003) was an Australian screenwriter and novelist. He worked on television shows such as ''Ivanhoe'', '' The Saint'', '' The Avengers'', ''Riptide'' and '' Doctor Who''. Early life Born in South Australia, Bill Strutton won a state scholarship to university at 14 but dropped out after two years to work as an office clerk in Adelaide. At the outbreak of World War II, he joined the Australian army. He was captured by the Germans in Crete and sent to Stalag VII, learning to swear in several languages. It was there he also began to take an interest in writing. He once said: "My first year as a prisoner-of-war was the most interesting in my life. The ensuing three were the most boring, but more instructive, I think, than any university. Edith Munnings
Edith Emma Munnings (5 May 1867 – 24 April 1939), later known as Edith Strutton, was a New Zealand artist and a missionary in India. Life Munnings was one of 11 children of Joseph and Emma Munnings, pioneer settlers in Addington, New Zealand, Addington, Christchurch. One of her brothers, also named Joseph, became a school architect in New South Wales and also worked in India. The president of the Royal Academy of Art, Sir Alfred Munnings, was her cousin. Munnings was one of the first-day pupils of the Canterbury College School of Art when it opened on 1 March 1882. In 1887, she was enrolled in evening classes at the school, and achieved an "excellence" in her end-of-year examination. In 1892, she joined the newly formed Palette Club, a group of artists who met weekly to study nature and offer each other help and constructive criticism.
