Strong Georgia
Strong Georgia (SG; Georgian: ძლიერი საქართველო, romanized: ''dzlieri sakartvelo'') is an informal political coalition of pro-European political parties in Georgia. Its platform has generally been placed on the centre to centre-left and the alliance includes liberal as well as social democratic factions. The coalition's constituent members are Mamuka Khazaradze's Lelo for Georgia, Ana Dolidze's For the People, Aleko Elisashvili's Citizens, as well as the political movement Freedom Square led by Levan Tsutskiridze. The alliance also includes other notable politicians such as the former President Giorgi Margvelashvili and former New Rights Party leader David Gamkrelidze. Georgian Language
Georgian (, ) is the most widely spoken Kartvelian language, Kartvelian language family. It is the official language of Georgia (country), Georgia and the native or primary language of 88% of its population. It also serves as the literary language or lingua franca for speakers of related languages. Its speakers today amount to approximately 3.8 million. Salome Zourabichvili
Salomé Nino Zourabichvili (born 18March 1952) is a French-born Georgian politician, former diplomat, and the fifth president of Georgia – the first female to be elected as president in the country's history. As a result of the constitutional amendments that came into effect in 2024, Zourabichvili became the last popularly elected president; under the new constitutional rules, moving forward Georgian presidents are to be elected indirectly by the Georgian Electoral Assembly. Zourabichvili was born in Paris, France, into a family of Georgian political refugees. 2024 Georgian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia (country), Georgia on 26 October 2024. The elections were held under the rules passed in 2017 through the constitutional amendments which shifted the electoral system towards a fully proportional representation with a 5% electoral threshold. New Rights Party
The New Rights Party (NRP) ( ka, ახალი მემარჯვენეები, tr), also translated as New Conservative Party (NCP), was a political party in Georgia. It was an associate member of the International Democrat Union and applicant of the European People's Party. Giorgi Margvelashvili ( ka, გიორგი მარგველაშვილი; born 4 September 1969) is a Georgian academic and politician who was the fourth president of Georgia, in office from 17 November 2013 to 16 December 2018. Having studied philosophy in university, he was twice the rector of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs from 2000 to 2006 and again from 2010 to 2012. Aleko Elisashvili
Aleksandre (Aleko) Elisashvili (born 17 January 1978) is a Georgians, Georgian political figure who has served in the Parliament of Georgia since 2020. Elisashvili started his political career as an activist within a civic preservation group. He was an independent member of the Tbilisi city assembly until 2017, when he was an independent candidate in the 2017 Georgian local elections, Tbilisi Mayoral Elections. Ana Dolidze
Ana Dolidze (; born 26 October 1979) is a Georgia (country), Georgian attorney, professor of international law and government official, founder and chairman of the "For the People (Georgia), For the People" party. A speaker and writer on international law and human rights in Caucasus and Central Eurasia, she was appointed as the chief legal adviser to the President of Georgia on 27 June 2016. On 8 January 2018 the President of Georgia appointed Dolidze to the High Council of Justice, the body that oversees the judiciary.
