Stromberg () is a quarter (country subdivision), quarter of Oelde with 4558 inhabitants. Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park
The Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park covers 328.2 km2 and is part of the districts of Ludwigsburg, Heilbronn, Karlsruhe and Enzkreis in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with Ludwigsburg having the largest share. The nature park is characterised by the two mountain ranges, Stromberg and Heuchelberg. Geologically, the nature park belongs to the Keuper Uplands. The southern slopes of the Stromberg are suitable for viticulture. Numerous hiking trails lead through the nature park. A large part of the area is forested. At the request of the city of Bretten, an area of woodland of about 20 hectares in the Bretten district was taken out of the nature park, the area was cleared and is now available as an extension of the Gölshausen industrial estate. In 2004, 6,000 signatures were collected against this project by the "Initiative Rüdtwald", which is committed to the preservation of the mixed forest, which is particularly ecologically valuable there. The Petersberg (; ), formerly known as the Stromberg, is a mountain in the Siebengebirge mountain range near Bonn, Germany. It overlooks the cities of Königswinter, on the right bank of the Rhine river, and Bonn on the opposite side. Today the peak is the site of the Hotel Petersberg, which serves as a guest house of the Federal Republic of Germany. History There is evidence that humans were already living on the Petersberg in 3500 BC. A ring wall constructed about 1000 BC has been excavated. In 1189, by order of the Archbishop of Cologne Philipp von Heinsberg, Cistercian monks from the abbey of Himmerod took over an abandoned hermitage built by Augustinians. In 1202 the new Heisterbach Abbey was constructed in the Peterstal, the valley below the Petersberg. The Zenith Carburetter Company Limited was a British company making carburettors in Stanmore Middlesex, founded in 1912 as a subsidiary of the French . In 1965, the company joined with its major pre-war rival Solex Carburettors, and over time, the Zenith brand name fell into disuse. Stromberg Oy or Strömberg Ab, was a company founded by Gottfrid Strömberg in 1889 in Helsinki, Finland, and manufactured electromechanical products such as: generators, electric motors and small power plants. The company was founded initially as ''Gottfrid Strömbergin sähköyhtiö'' in Finnish, ''Gottfrid Strömbergs elföretag'' in Swedish. Strömberg was acquired by Swedish ASEA in 1987, then later in 1988 when ASEA merged with Brown, Boveri & Cie to form ABB, the company became a division of ABB and hence known as ABB Strömberg. In the later 1990s, the company name was changed from ABB Strömberg Oy into ABB Oy and a more integral part of ABB. The company Strömberg expanded in an early stage and founded another factory branch in Vaasa, Finland, in an area which is now known as Strömberg Park. Stromberg Guitars was an American company producing guitars, mainly for jazz musicians, between 1906 and 1955. They produced only around 640 guitars, and are noted for their craftsmanship, similar to the high standards of John D'Angelico. Stromberg's guitars are praised for their superb sound quality and for their contribution to the development of the jazz guitar. History The company was founded by Charles Stromberg, a Swedish immigrant to Boston, Massachusetts, in 1906, who had learned the trade at the local Thompson & Odell company. His oldest son, Harry, worked with him until 1927, and in 1910, his son Elmer (later praised as responsible for "some of the finest archtop jazz guitars ever made") joined him in the business. Kay Musical Instrument Company (often referred to simply as Kay) is an American musical instrument manufacturer established in 1931 by namesake Henry "Kay" Kuhrmeyer and based in Chicago, Illinois. It was formed when Kuhrmeyer bought out his financial backers in the instrument manufacturer Stromberg-Voisinet. They produced guitars, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles and were known for their use of lamination in the construction of arched top instruments. The company operated independently until 1965 when they were purchased by the Seeburg Corporation, a jukebox manufacturer. In 1967, the company was sold to Valco citing decreasing profits due to imported Japanese instruments. In 1969, rights to name "Kay" was acquired by Weiss Musical Instruments (WMI) .
