Jeremy Strohmeyer (born October 11, 1978) is an American convicted murderer, serving four consecutive life terms for the sexual assault and murder of 7-year-old Sherrice Iverson (October 20, 1989 – May 25, 1997) at Primadonna Resort and Casino in Primm, Nevada, on May 25, 1997. George Strohmeyer
George Ferdinand Strohmeyer, Jr. (January 27, 1924 – January 12, 1992) was an American football player who played two seasons in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) with the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Hornets. He enrolled at Texas A&M University before transferring to the University of Notre Dame. Strohmeyer attended McAllen High School in McAllen, Texas. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL) in the thirteenth round of the 1946 NFL Draft. Early years Strohmeyer played high school football as a center for the McAllen High School Bulldogs. He was named Best Blocker on the All-Valley squad in 1941 and was also one of the area's best placekickers. He graduated in 1941. Strohmeyer was also a Golden Gloves champion. College career Strohmeyer first played college football as a freshman for the Texas A&M Aggies. He then joined the United States Navy in 1943. Sarah Strohmeyer (born December 17, 1962) is an American author of eighteen crime novels and humorous books about relations between men and women. She is best known for her Bubbles Yablonsky series about a Pennsylvania hairdresser who is drawn into solving various crimes and murders. Early life and education Strohmeyer grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She attended Tufts University, where she graduated with a degree in international relations. Career After graduation, Strohmeyer began work as a journalist for ''Home News Tribune'' in New Brunswick, New Jersey, ''The Plain Dealer'' in Cleveland, and later ''Valley News''. In 1997, Strohmeyer published ''Barbie Unbound'', which she wrote in response to her seeing several mothers refuse to allow their children to play with the doll due to it being perceived as being a "bimbo". John Strohmeyer
John Strohmeyer (June 26, 1924 – March 3, 2010) won the 1972 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing “for his editorial campaign to reduce racial tensions in Bethlehem.” Strohmeyer was born in Boston, Massachusetts. After working as a night reporter for the now-defunct ''Bethlehem Globe-Times'' of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania while attending Moravian College, he spent three years in the United States Navy during World War II, ultimately attaining the rank of lieutenant. A graduate of Muhlenberg College (1947) and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism (1948), Strohmeyer was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University during the 1952–1953 academic year while employed by '' The Providence Journal''.
