Radu Stroe
Radu Stroe (31 August 1949 – 12 June 2025) was a Romanian navigational engineer and politician. An independent, he was once a member of the National Liberal Party (PNL). He was a member of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies for Maramureș County from 2000 to 2004, and sat in the Romanian Senate from 2004 to 2008, representing the same county. He returned to the Chamber in 2010, representing Bucharest, and started a new term in 2012, sitting for Ilfov County. In the Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu cabinet, he was Minister Delegate for the General Secretariat of the Government from 2006 to 2007. In Victor Ponta's first cabinet, he was Minister Delegate for Administration between August and December 2012, when he was promoted to Interior Minister. He resigned that post in January 2014. Stroe is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. Stroe Belloescu
Stroe S. Belloescu (March 20, 1838 – October 20, 1912) was a Romanian teacher, politician and philanthropist. Biography Born in Câmpina to the well-to-do shepherds Stroe and Stana Beloiu of the Braşov area, he graduated from Ghent University in 1863 with a degree in Engineering. He taught Mathematics for two years at what is now the Nicolae Bălcescu National College in Brăila, rising to director in that time. He moved on to Bârlad's Gheorghe Roșca Codreanu National College in 1868, remaining there until his retirement in 1898. Aurel Stroe
Aurel Stroe (5 May 1932, in Bucharest – 3 October 2008, in Mannheim) was a Romanian composer, philosopher and linguist. In 2002 he was awarded the Herder Prize from the University of Vienna; and in 2006 he was awarded the Promaetheus Prize by the Anonimul Foundation. Life and career From 1951 to 1956 Stroe studied piano with Maria Totino, composition with Mihail Andricu, and harmony with Marṭian Negrea at the Bucharest Conservatory. He also took summer courses at the Darmstadt Conservatory from 1966 to 1969 where he was a pupil of Mauricio Kagel, György Ligeti, and Karlheinz Stockhausen. Corneliu Stroe (22 October 1949 – 11 June 2017) was a Romanian drummer and percussionist. Born in Bucharest, he moved at the age of 2 to Mediaș, due to his father's job. He grew up there, and later became a member of several local bands, among them Orfeus. Stroe is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Hollands Kroon, and lies about southeast of Den Helder. Stroe is considered part of Hippolytushoef.
