Stroboscopic Artefacts is a recording label based in Berlin, Germany. It is owned and managed by Luca Mortellaro, better known by the production alias "Lucy." This record label is notable for releasing experimental techno and electronica to positive critical review. The label also has a significant visual component, with a focus on album art and promotional videos created by the "Oblivious Artefacts" group, also known for their works with comparable techno labels such as Prologue. Techno is a Music genre, genre of electronic dance music (EDM) which is generally music production, produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempo often varying between 120 and 150 beats per minute (bpm). The central Drum beat, rhythm is typically in common time (4/4) and often characterized by a repetitive four on the floor (music), four on the floor beat. Artists may use electronic instruments such as drum machines, sequencer (musical instrument), sequencers, and synthesizers, as well as digital audio workstations. Drum machines from the 1980s such as Roland Corporation, Roland's TR-808 and TR-909 are highly prized, and softsynth, software emulations of such retro instruments are popular. Dub Techno
Dub techno is a subgenre of techno that combines the style with elements of dub music, including its sparse, delay-heavy production and prominent bass. Characteristics and history In the early 1990s, producers Moritz Von Oswald and Mark Ernestus formed Basic Channel, a duo credited for defining dub techno.
