Stripped (song)
"Stripped" is a song by the English electronic music band Depeche Mode. It was released as the lead single from their fifth studio album ''Black Celebration'' (1986) on 10 February 1986, through Mute Records. Written by the band's lead songwriter Martin Gore, "Stripped" introduces the more dark and sample oriented composition that featured on the ''Black Celebration'' album. It incorporates various samples into its instrumental; most notably, the sound of an idling motorcycle engine was recorded, altered slightly, and inserted as a percussive element. It was the band's sixth consecutive single to enter the UK Top 20, peaking at number 15. Elsewhere, it peaked at number 4 in Germany and reached the top 10 in Finland, Sweden and Switzerland. German metal band Rammstein later covered the song for the 1998 Depeche Mode tribute album '' For the Masses''. The Score is an American alternative rock duo formed in New York City in 2011, now based in Los Angeles. The group consists of Eddie Anthony Ramirez (lead vocals, guitar) and Edan Chai Dover (backing vocals, keys, producer). Chris Coombs and Logan Baldwin are touring members for the band. They were signed to Republic Records in 2015 after their song " Oh My Love" was featured in an advertising campaign for Asda supermarkets. They are currently signed to Imperial Records. ''Stripped'' is a 2014 documentary film about comic strips and their transition from the decline of newspapers, failing newspaper industry to the webcomic, web. Work on ''Stripped'' began in 2010. The film's original concept was to make a documentary about cartoonists in their studios. ''Stripped'' features interviews with over 70 comic creators, who discuss their trade and its prospects in the 21st century. Interviewee Bill Watterson created the poster for ''Stripped'', his first published art since ending ''Calvin and Hobbes'' in 1995. ''Souls at Zero'' is the third studio album by the American post-metal band Neurosis (band), Neurosis. It was released in 1992 by the Alternative Tentacles record label. Their first album with Simon Mcllroy, ''Souls at Zero'' marked a shift in the band's style, moving away from the fast-paced hardcore punk influences of their early work towards slower tempos and greater experimentation. ''Doubt'' is the second album by British rock band Jesus Jones, released on 21 January 1991 through Food Records. The label witnessed the success of their debut album '' Liquidizer'' (1989) and wanted more hit-sounding music from the band. Frontman Mike Edwards wrote new material on their tour bus and in hotel rooms; they recorded some of it in early 1990, before touring resumed.
