Patrick "Pat" Dugan is a superhero in the DC Comics Universe. The former adult sidekick to teenage superhero Sylvester Pemberton, the Star-Spangled Kid, Dugan is a gifted mechanic known for inventions such as the Star Rocket Racer. Originally called "Stripesy" while working with the Seven Soldiers of Victory and the All-Star Squadron before building a powered suit of armor dubbed S.T.R.I.P.E. Seven Soldiers Of Victory
The Seven Soldiers of Victory (also known as Law's Legionnaires) is a team of fictional comic book superheroes in the DC Comics universe. They first appeared in '' Leading Comics'' #1 (Winter 1941), and were created by Mort Weisinger and Mort Meskin. Sylvester Pemberton Jr., alternately known as The Star-Spangled Kid and Skyman (DC Comics), Skyman, is a superhero in the DC Comics DC Universe, universe. Sylvester first appeared in ''Star Spangled Comics'' #1 (October 1941) and was created by Jerry Siegel and Hal Sherman. Starting October 1941, the character headlined his own comic, ''Star Spangled Comics'', which introduced his sidekick, Stripesy. Star Spangled Comics
''Star Spangled Comics'' is a comics anthology published by DC Comics which ran for 130 issues from October 1941 to July 1952. It was then retitled ''Star Spangled War Stories'' and lasted until issue #204 (February–March 1977). Publication history ''Star Spangled Comics'' debuted with an October 1941 cover date. The series began as a superhero title featuring the adventures of the Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy who appeared until #86 (November 1948). This feature had the distinction of a teen hero with an older sidekick (the reverse of the usual arrangement). With issue #7 (April 1942), the title starred the Joe Simon and Jack Kirby-created Newsboy Legion. A series of stories featuring Robin, the Boy Wonder began in issue #65 (February 1947) and continued through the end of the title with issue #130, and primarily featured Robin solo adventures, but also included some occasional cameos by Batman. The Star-Spangled Kid is the name of several superheroes in the DC Comics' main shared universe. Fictional character history Sylvester Pemberton The original Star-Spangled Kid was Sylvester Pemberton, a Golden Age character, created by Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel. He adopted the identity to battle Nazism during World War II, and was unique in being a child with an adult sidekick, Stripesy a.k.a. Pat Dugan. Both he and Dugan were superb acrobats along with having sufficient training in hand-to-hand combat, but the pair regularly bickered about which of them should get top billing. Decades later, he changed his name to Skyman and led Infinity Inc. He was later killed by Mister Bones's cyanide touch. ''DC's Stargirl'', or simply ''Stargirl'', is an American superhero television series created by Geoff Johns that premiered on streaming service DC Universe. It is based on the DC Comics superhero Courtney Whitmore, created by Johns and Lee Moder. The series follows high school student Courtney Whitmore who discovers the cosmic staff originally wielded by Starman and becomes the inspiration for a new generation of superheroes who become the new incarnation of the Justice Society of America. Hal Sherman (born Harold Sicherman; March 31, 1911Murray, Will. Jerome "Jerry" Siegel ( ; October 17, 1914 – January 28, 1996) Roger Stern. ''Superman: Sunday Classics: 1939–1943'' DC Comics/ Kitchen Sink Press, Inc./ Sterling Publishing; 2006 was an American comic book writer. He was the co-creator of Superman, in collaboration with his friend Joe Shuster, published by DC Comics. They also created Doctor Occult, who was later featured in '' The Books of Magic''. Infinity, Inc. is a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The first incarnation is mostly composed of the children and heirs of the Justice Society of America (JSA), making them the Society's analogue to the Teen Titans. Created by Roy Thomas, Jerry Ordway, and Mike Machlan, Infinity, Inc. first appears in ''All-Star Squadron'' #25 (September 1983).
