Striking Point
''Striking Point'' is an action film directed by Thomas H. Fenton and starring Christopher Mitchum, Ivan Rogers, Stan Morse, Mark Hanson, Tracy Spaulding and Rocky Patterson. It is about detectives in their quest to stop the KGB from bringing in weapons for gangs in the United States. Background Even though the cold war is over, the KGB are shipping deadly weapons into the US and supplying street gangs with them, thus priming one of their own. It's up to the determined police detectives to stop them. The lead villain Romanov is played by Christopher Mitchum. The police officers, Captain Matthews and Detective Joe Morris are played by Ivan Rogers and Rocky Patterson. The April 1, 1995 issue of Billboard recorded it as a new entry at 35 in the Top 40 video rentals. Christopher Mitchum
Christopher Mitchum (born October 16, 1943) is an American film actor, screenwriter, and businessman. He was born in Los Angeles, California, the second son of film star Robert Mitchum and Dorothy Mitchum. He is the younger brother of actor James Mitchum. Film career Mitchum appeared in more than 60 films in 14 countries. He appeared with John Wayne in the motion pictures ''Chisum'' (1970), ''Rio Lobo'' (1970), and ''Big Jake'' (1971). He was cited by Box Office (magazine), Box Office magazine as one of the top five stars of the future and the recipient of Photoplay's Gold Medal Award for 1972. Ivan Rogers (actor)
Ivan Rogers (1954–2010) was an independent film actor, director and producer. He was also a musician. He appeared to be following in the footsteps of his mentor, fellow Indiana native, Fred Williamson. Background Rogers was born on September 20, 1954. He was one of three boys born to Paul B. Rogers and his wife Ola. His father was a building contractor. Rogers studied at Ball State University and was in a music program. He left the university to become a professional musician. He worked in various R&B bands and even backed Marvin Gaye. He was also a martial artist and a second dan black belt. A professional kick boxer, he competed in martial arts and kickboxing tournaments in the US and abroad. He was approached by a video disc company executive to make an instructional video which he ended up starring in as well as writing and producing. Thomas Fenton is an American screenwriter and his writing credits include the screenplays for ''Saw IV''. Fenton grew up in Rochester, New York. His 5th grade had a movie-making class, where he's made some student sci-fi, horror and martial arts films. He attended Hofstra University and took film classes there on Long Island. Fenton started as a grip and best boy in New York City. Fenton opened and operated a production company doing commercial and music video production in New York. Fenton later moved to Hollywood switching to screenwriter and also working as a graphic novelist. Fenton's first break in Hollywood was doing a rewrite on ''Belly of the Beast'' by Stephen Seagal. Fenton wrote ''Dominion'' a graphic novel about Earthbound Angel. Fenton worked with Twisted Pictures on a number of films, best known as ''Saw IV''.
