''Stree 2'' is the soundtrack album to the 2024 comedy horror film of the same name directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his Maddock Films banner. A sequel to '' Stree'' (2018) and the fifth instalment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe, the film stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, reprising their roles from the previous films. Sachin–Jigar scored the four-song soundtrack with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The album was released under the Saregama label on 10 August 2024. Background Sachin–Jigar who previously scored music for ''Stree'' returned for the sequel, with Amitabh Bhattacharya serving as a primary songwriter writing lyrics for all the songs with vocals performed by Madhubanti Bagchi, Divya Kumar, Vishal Mishra, Shilpa Rao, Pawan Singh, Varun Jain and Simran Choudhary. Sachin–Jigar
Sachin–Jigar are an Indian music composer duo consisting of Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya. They are both known for their compositions in both Hindi and Gujarati language films. Personal life Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya are both originally from Gujarat, and are both settled in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Career Prior to working with each other, they both were assistants to Pritam and programmed and arranged music for several composers including A. R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Anu Malik, Nadeem–Shravan and Sandesh Shandilya. Jigar had met Sachin while serving as an assistant to Pritam. Seeing their potential, Pritam suggested Sachin & Jigar to work together as a duo. In 2009, they began working with each other and composed a song for the film ''Life Partner''. Amitabh Bhattacharya
Amitabh Bhattacharya (born 16 November 1976) is an Indian Bengali lyricist and playback singer who works in Bollywood films. At the beginning of his career back in 2000's, he was working for few musicians as a singer & met Pritam, who gave him works as a scratch singer for his compositions. Later, he shot to fame with the film ''Dev.D , music by Amit Trivedi'' with the song "Emotional Atyachar" turning an instant hit. Ustad Ghulam Ali (; born 5 December 1940) is a Pakistani ghazal singer of the Patiala Gharana. Ghulam Ali is considered one of the greatest ghazal singers of his era. ''Ghazal'' is a form of amatory poem or ode, originating in Arabic poetry that often deals with topics of spiritual and romantic love. It may be understood as a poetic expression of both the pain of loss, or separation from the beloved, and the beauty of love in spite of that pain. Chanderi
Chanderi, is a town of historical importance in Ashoknagar District of the state Madhya Pradesh in India. "Aaj Ki Raat" () is a Hindi-language song composed by Sachin–Jigar, lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Divya Kumar, for the soundtrack album of 2024 film ''Stree 2''. It was picturised on Tamannaah Bhatia. The song received a positive reception becoming one of the most popular songs of the year. The song peaked at #1 on ''Billboard'' India, #2 on UK Asian charts and #65 on ''Billboard'' Global 200.
